I don't think B81 is someone who does unnecessary stuff like update his views on a player for current top notch performances, easier to judge solely on past ones.

Whoever said it about it being more tricky to excell in a top club who don't counterattack as much as it suits Cerci, made the best point so far on why he shouldn't be signed.

I have seen Cerci play, and I am not begrudging him his spot in the limelight based on his performances over the past few months. However, I see him as a form player and not one who has the necessary qualities to be a starter for a club like Juventus. Hence, why I don't deem his potential 15 million Euro purchase as necessary.

Have you seen him on the field this season? It appears you haven't.

Cerci is at the moment the best right winger in the league. Of course, it might change soon, if he lost his form, but from my perspective his talent just exploded. He showed a lot of good football in last season, but suffered from lack of consistency. Now his form is more stable, and if he keeps on playing like this, he will be top-notch asset to, for example, Roma or Napoli (in 433 or 451).

Thats more nuanced then howler smileys at every mention of a possible compliment I agree, though I doubt its just form, even if he may be a form player (the two arent the same hehe), but in the right setting, and for the right price, he could be a real good signing. Aslong as you dont expect world class performances but an explosive winger with a good shot.

Cerci has been much better than Cuadrado this season.

I'm not saying he is a counterattacking only winger, but that an explosive winger tends to show his best more in a setting like small teams that tend to sit back more often then a top club and get more space on the counter.

It's the same with every fast player, and is just common sense, and that includes the likes of Robben or indeed, Cuadrado.

Apparently Murru (left back of Cagliari) is a free transfer next summer unless he signs a new contract!

Wouldn't be free as he'd be young enough that Cagliari would be entitled to a development fee - like Man Utd were with Pogba - but it wouldn't be much.

Thats true, but there are different kind of fast counter players, those who can handle dribbling in closed spaces facing 10 settled defenders, and those more direct and limited fast players who need mainly lots of space to beat players.

I am curious to see how he shall perform with Italy at the WC (if given the opportunity). I remember quite a few people were raving about Candreva not so long ago and how it was a mistake to let him go. A solid player, but nothing more. I have my doubts about Cerci. Only time will tell

Anyways, I wouldn't want him at Juventus. I think he'd be another Krasic.

I understand peoples concern with Cerci but I think he'd be a good fit here. Naturally he thrives off of having more space but so do most wingers. Doesn't mean he flops against a defensive side. Infact, plenty of sides give him a lot of attention due to him being by far and away Torinos main threat. He can cross, he can cut in and shoot, he's fast, he's quite hard working etc etc.

Even if he never played like he can for Torino, he can do two things we so desperately need


Take his man on (Licht, Asa, Isla, Padoin, PDC etc etc clearly can't do this with any regularity)

And he can cross. By god he can cross

So if he can do those two things consistently for us, our team will have improved and gained an actual threat from wide.

Yeah which is why I dont get the Krasic mentions so far, he is not the type that is THAT limited (cant dribble whatsoever, just rush and run type), yeah would be more difficult with less space in a top team, but thats just given.

Was hyped in the championship and he got something like 1 assist in the entire season.
