They're not in bankruptcy, as clubs like Milan with wealthy owners can always find a way around, but they have difficulties nonetheless. Juventus would be in a rather similar state if Agnelli's affiliates suddenly stop supplying us with cheap financing. We wouldn't be able to afford players we had in the last few years. Now, they had an old squad a few years ago on a relatively high wages, players like Nesta, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Gatuso and they're bringing marque signings every year like Ibra, Ronaldinho, etc... Without any doubt those decisions back then are one of the reasons for their current financial state. I read somewhere that their income of that period was lower than the overall gross salaries.
We're not in a healthy financial situation at the moment. We haven't managed to break even after successful CL campaign with unexpected influx of around 20m euros. I would hate to see old players like Evra or Cole draining our budget even further. If we have to pay for the player or give him high wages, then it must be someone who'll stick around little longer and become important part of the project in our future. Basically as we each year lose more money than we earn, we have two options; go further into debt, or sell some of our players to afford new purchases.

Thats the thing. Milan has been spending beyond their means since forever. We are not doing that and we have a healthy balance sheet and we'll do much better in the next two years when the rewards of our investments in turin kick in not to mention the rising stardom of the likes of pogba and vidal and the added fan base from being successful for a longer period.
As things stand we dont yet have the kind of wallet to make a significant improvement in any of our departments. Our only options are Tevez like deals and youngsters. No one is advocating signing cole/evra on a 5 year contract with massive salaries or not looking for young wonderkids.
All I am advocating is that we try to sign cole/evra on a 2 year contract with a big pay-cut WHILE looking for a long term LWB wonderkid if we can find one.

Biabany for less than 10 million in january wouldn't be as bad as many here make him seem to be. He's more than capable playing against most Serie A teams, and we won't get a winger able to $#@! $#@! up in CL anyways. And in the mind of Conte, who still trust with these matters more than myself and all the "experts here on the forum, it would enable us to play 4-3-3.
Not just that,but people here seem to behave like we have got our appeal back as it was in the nineties and the early 2000s and that we can attract any player in the world because 'we are Juve'.
I'll again say it.We need to realize that we're a top team in what is now basically a fodder league with most teams selling their best player due to lack of good finances.Unless the club is paying insane salaries like PSG,the level of competition in the league matters a lot to attract quality players without having to pay big wages.Wenger was and is 100% right in his words when he said not many world class players would want to play in Serie A.Its the reality and we have to accept it.For what else do you think Agnelli delivers those regular speeches talking about the state of the league ? for the exact same reasons but there are a lot who dont pay attention to it and have their own delusions.

Dude you picked up good players but you need to understand Di Maria is a 30m player as well as Griezmann. 60m in one mercato? I don't think we can do that.
The best we can hope for is a player between 15 - 20m IF we sell a few unnecessary players + we decide to go for quality not quantity. I personally want an RM/RWF to come and it'll be all good. Cuadrado is the player we should spend money on imo. Suits Conte tactics like a glove and can assist/score as well as take on his man to create something dangerous.

@Nostradamus Are you a Juventus supporter, or just an avid follower of the Bundesliga? I do agree with your assessments though; it's going to be very difficult to attract anyone from Bayern, Dortmund, or even top talent from around that league, unless there is no interest in the players from other top clubs, and they desperately want to move to Juve (a very unlikely combination).
