I don't think an obligation is true, and besides, how would that stop the transfer? Essentially then he'd be our asset to trade.
Obligation as in,the 9.4m is a fixed amount we have to pay.Besides why would Udinese want to exchange players(considering they'd be getting a pretty poor isla in return) instead of money ?

I know what obligation means, I just don't agree that it is an obligation, I've said that all along. We bought Asamoah as he proved himself to be an €18m player and important member of the team, I will still be surprised if Isla doesn't go to a blind auction or reduced offer. If he does, then there was no obligation.

"Juventus announce that an agreement with Udinese has been finalised over the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of Asamoah for a fee of €18 million to be paid in three years," a statement on the Juventus website reads.

"At the same time, Juventus and Udinese signed a player sharing agreement related to the same player for a consideration of €9m to be paid by Udinese in three years.

"Juventus also announce that an agreement with Udinese has been finalised over the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of Mauricio Anibal Isla for a fee of €18.8m to be paid in three years.

"At the same time, Juventus and Udinese signed a player sharing agreement related to the same player for a consideration of €9.4m to be paid by Udinese in three years."
So what does 'definitive acquisition' mean here then ?

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Cristian Pasquato moves in the other direction for a fee of €3m paid over three years, with Juventus re-signing 50 per cent of the forward's economical rights for a fee of €1.5m.

If i got it right,i think WE have the right to decide of whenether to buy or not,and it's not an obligation.
Because we have both them completely, then sold 50%.and it was OUR decision to extend the co-own with Isla and buy Asa's second half.

So we are in a position where no another extension can be made.Either one club buys his second half or clubs will go to the blind auction...

Look at my post here,i think that's what it means.
Buying outright+selling half=You hold the right of what to do next.

The last sentence is key, we then co-owned him back for half the value. I'm not sure why we do this (maybe someone could explain), but it's just our way of filing a co-ownership, we buy the whole player then co-own half back. We did the same with Gabbiadini. That doesn't mean we have an obligation to pay that exact figure for the remaining half of his contract.

What it does mean i think that WE hold the decision of what to do in the summer.
We can chose to extend(first year),to buy/sell or if no deal agreed go to blind auction(second year).

I think that's why we do it, so we are the controlling team. But as has been said before, we can't really go in and screw the other side as it ruins future negotiations, and we have a strong relationship with Udinese. On the other hand we can't really go and pay another €9.4m for half of a player who has done terribly for us.
