We arent just asking for it, we are rumoured to Menez in January because apparently the club wants a winger... Because go figure, they find it necessary to have a single winger in the club, instead of play Tevez and Marchisio out of position when we play a tactic that requires not just one, but two of them.
And btw, we played 4-5-1 against Real, Tevez and Marchisio were playing clearly wide, supporting the fullbacks and doing most of their pressurring work on the sides. It was pretty much a 4-5-1 or 4-3-2-1, there wasnt an instance where we played a sole attacking mid in the middle, Marchisio was going to the right and starting from there to be fully considered a central attacking mid/aka in the hole. And Tevez pretty much never got that close to Llorente to be considered 2nd attacker, too occupied on the left side duties, and dissapearing from the game due to it too.

The reason i oppose wingers, is that we would just need 1 well fitting playmaker to get an extremely solid team that get the most out of the players we got
Where as 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 would see eighter see pogba+vidal in inferior roles, or tevez wide where he is less effective.
Thats fine on its own, if the winger(s) can make up for it. But thats exactlly the issue here. Wingers that make up for less effective tevez and/or pogba and vidal in inferior roles, thats quite a big feat. We cant afford those, and Menez cannot do that

Certainly not regarding fullbacks. Bar some raki-ish people, I never seen anyone saying how we should have fullbacks attacking like Dani Alves and Marcelo on each side, but someone who could occasionally beat his man and put in a decent cross for our strikers.
We did not play that formation. Again.
