Abate? Freaking Abate :sergio: even the goat is better than him
abate is fix player in italy and Carrying the ball from corners and high power
i saw his plays in milan and Especially in Italy, Germany match
however Abate is for next summer, but will have to negotiate with Milan around the €12m mark.
You must be careful to see his play he has hight speed

I hope Pogba stays but imagine a 4-2-3-1 like this

Buffon
Licht Barz Chiel Criscito
Vidal March
Menez Tevez Lavezzi
Cavani

Menez and Criscito would be with our own money, Lavezzi and Cavani in the Summer for Pogba. We'd have essentially used somebody we paid £800,000 in compensation for to complete our attack finally. Whilst bringing in Menez on the cheap and our only real expensive signing would be the left back we've been missing.

Like I said, i'd rather Pogba stayed but if we made a team similar to that one in his absence then I couldn't find a bad thing to say about Marotta tbh

Not saying it's going to pan out that way but it's not wildly unrealistic if we're to believe PSG are prepared to make a STARTING offer of £50M.

Menez and Criscito are obviously not 'dream' signings, rather affordable and realistic ones.

Cavani and Lavezzi is me being optimistic. Worst case scenario we take 15-20 off of the price and take Lavezzi. And use the remaining money to buy a top striker.

With Pogba no longer in the picture, switching to a 4-2-3-1 becomes a viable option.

Unfortunately, that seems to be why we are linked, to give Raiola more money so that he keeps Pogba here
Just seen that his contract expires in 2015 too, so yeah not keen. A positive I found from a bosman deal was creating more funds for the mercato by selling Isla.

He makes up for his defending with his super speed.
I dislike players that rely on their pace to survive.

Abate would put my mind at ease tbh, would be a great back up to have.
He certainly wouldn't put my mind at ease. He has nothing but speed and athleticism on either Isla or Padoin.

He has nothing superior than Isla or Padoin for any other attribute. Extremely average technically in terms of first touch, control, passing and crossing, and barely mediocre as a defender.

I think he's being quite badly underrated here

He'd definitely be our 3rd best defender behind Licht and Asa (Wing backs obviously)

As for other attributes, Padoin and Isla quite frankly suck at simple tasks. Abate is no Lichtsteiner but he's definitely not in the category of Padoin or Juve Isla.

Abate's move when he enters the opponent's half, quickly taps the ball to a player more central and bombs forward.

Repeat 10-15 times each game.
Add his 'off the ball play' to that very short list I made, he is at least willing if nothing else.

Not much different from asa burts forward and then stops and cuts back
Funny thing is Abate is supposed to be a wing back. Yet Asamoah craps over him in terms of overall technique and defensive awareness.
