4-2-3-1 is essientially a 4-2-4
depends on ur strikers. if we play for example a RW tevez llorente LW then it can be similar to 4-2-3-1 but 4-2-4 is better at pressing the usual 4 man back line. however i don't see us playing that formation because we have 5 superb central midfielders marchisio, pirlo, pogba, vidal and asamoah which can't just go in a 2 man midfield.

Well neither do I but if we don't stick to 3 man midfields, there's no way Marchisio will stay

Vidal and Pogba are our two most valuable midfielders, probably our 2 most valuable assets. Pirlo would probably be benched in a 4-2-4/4-2-3-1 and Marchisio would be left getting meaningless minutes.

There is no way our 4 quality midfielders are going to be content fighting it out for 2 places.

With Pirlo around and it seems that he'll stay for at least another year, 2 man midfield is not an option. He'd never accept bench and even if that was the case Marchisio would most likely be ahead of him in the pecking order. Pirlo doesn't have necessary physicality for that spot.

i recon that Monaco will allmost certainly get him.

Not sure if PSG would be involved, Whilst arsenal allready got ozil.

Borussia dortmund could also use him
I don't see dortmud paying any substantial fee for any player

but i see PSG and Monaco able, yes. Still If PSG get him then they might make Veratti or Pastore more easier to get.

also how about el sharwawy?

Realistically in the winter we should go for a winger. Loan nani or buy menez and in the summer then we should look for a possible goalkeeper unless we are going to bring Leali in and we should be looking for wingers
