Interesting, Joaquin Maroto the journalist who wrote the article for AS about the 2hr meeting was a former Director of Communications at Real Madrid.

    :D

    #FalcaoON ?

There isnt a single credible rumor of Llorente leaving
And there hasent been one for cuadrado joining juventus since the start of the mercato

Why do people insist Pereyra is our 6th choise midfielder, if he has been played as a cam in every single game, and was easely the best performing player to have been tested there ?

    Pereyra - Tevez
    --Llorente

Simply is the attack if we take a back4.

Also, Falcao is worth more then Vidal, pure financially. And when in form, has a bigger impact aswel if i'm totally honest.
Zach, I was just BSing a bit :D

Also, you're telling me Pereyra was brought here as our starting trequartista? That would be even worse.

Nah, we got him cause he can play both wings and cam, and could also play as an offensive minded cm.

-Our 352 last season was lacking an offensive cm substitute from the bench.
-We want to change to wingers in the future. But we obviously cant afford to sign two wingers and depth in the same mercato. Pereyra can cover both wings and trequartista. This is huge. Immagine Coman and/or Berardi break trough, and we could get a big name winger from the market. Pereyra could be the cover for all 3 positions, or if we get 1 winger to break trough, he could start the opposite side and allow us to use that winger to maximum capacity.

Exhaggerated example : Imagine you got david beckham aged 20 from united. Pure winger who cant play centre. Pereyra normally wouldnt be good enough to start. But starting him and beckham, would enable to play the worldclass talent to its best capability.

Italian teams have had this many times in the past, where an average player made a formation possible that got most out of the talent around him, and as a result made the talented player look 10x better then he actually was. When this average player then gets a transfer, they suddenly fail at their next team.
Think about how many times that happened

In short, this is why having a player that can cover every am/w position is a big factor

    No chance for Falcao. :D

    I think we'll see Pereyra behind Tevez-Llorente/Morata.

Di Natale said Pereyra will be another big hit like Sanchez. Pereyra is going to explode. :touched:

Tbh, in our friendlies we saw for example giovinco try very hard, and fail at becomming a senior football player

Pereyra however, was consistantly showcasing good link up play with his new teammates, and played quite a bit of one touch passes into space and into feet, speeding the play up, but post importantly, they nearly allways ended up where they should.

Remember our one time layoff football the first two years under conte when it was Matri/Vucinic/Quag/Giovinco trying to do that ?

yeah, i try to forget it aswel
