podolski's numbers aren't impressive either but the thing is with gabbiadini he can explode with us whereas podolski can just go down and die like vucinic, quagliarella and matri. gabbiadini can have a good season and we can sell him and buy someone better.
 The all important explosion :touched:

Will he explode before or after Giovinco? And more importantly, is De Ceglie due to explode as well? :D

Gabbiadini hype

Personally not a fan of getting a winger/forward who is hard working, technically average and has a shit shot conversion rate.

But he's fairly young and we co-own him so might as well pretend he's an absolute beast

Gabbia :tuttosport:

Falcao who?

stop trolling lol... with regards to giovinco the guy has the body of a 12 year old and unfortunatly if he was 10cm taller he would have been a good player. Gabbiadini has all of the qualities for a great player, he is strong, tall talented and has versitality. we should get him and see how he develops. if he is not good enough then sell him at an overpriced fee and get a better player. If we were to buy podolski we would use him and then sell him at a loss like vucinic.

if we don't have a money we should make the money and then buy. Marotta should have loaned immobile and then sold him. If that happened then we would have sanchez by now.

He's 23 and not exactly tearing shit up for Sampdoria.

'Great player' is taking it way too far. He could be a solid bench option in his prime.

He is a great player. He is the reincarnation of Vieri and Amourso in the 96-97 season rolled into one.

Gabbiadini is such a beast, but he is afraid to show it as he really wants to come back home to us. If he performs to the true extent of his abilities, Sampdoria will demand at least 15 million for his half. That is how amazing he is, notwithstanding his shit shot conversion ratio.

Yeah that last time he played against us was amazing. You could just tell at any minute he could've smashed 5 past Buffon in as many minutes. Thankfully Godiadini likes our club.

Regarless of the adjective used, he can be valuable money. we should not make the mistake we did with immobile because if we were to sell him, we need to make as much money as possible.
Well if we take him as a bench option and he does OK we can keep him, unless somebody wants to overpay for our bench forward in a couple of years which is fine by me.

Either way he's not a priority in my eyes yet.

I'm currently writing a new book titled "Of Jabs and Gabs" It is the definitive guide to our mercato strategy, with input by all members of management, an in depth analysis of our funds, and also some dacdical expertise provided by Allegri, Conte, and Del Neri. There is a special chapter dedicated to Dacdical Flow, and an IQ test labelled "Test your intelligence Peasand?!" at the back of the book. It comes in both paperback and hardback. It will retail for 50 Euros, but you can also loan it with an option to buy after one year.

Then giving a chance at some youngster dosn't hurt does it? Given that someone will pay more for a player that comes from a big team then they would do for
samp. If immobile exploded with us we could have easily sold him for 30m.

Yet, any of them cost more than Morata.

You either have no point, or a retarded one.
My point was that there are many clubs which are able to overpay for a average player(ie.lallana) or young bench warmer or spospect so for us to take gabbiadini and give him some playing time would be beneficial in terms of a resale value. Wolfburg have in research for a striker for a few years after manzukic left and gabbiadini can fit the mold (just an example). We know that they have money and cosidering that they wanted to pay 30m for morata/destro we can doa similar thing with gabbiadini.

some clubs do overpay for bench warmers at big clubs. gabbiadini can be a great piece of business. remember that we sold matri for 12 so gabbiadini can easily make 15m+ in my eyes anyway

What mistake was that? Immobile is a one dimensional player. Perhaps we should have gotten a bit more for him (and not overpaid for his half in the first place), but he never had a future here.

There is some serious money changing hands this season. We are pretty much helpless in terms of spending power , aren't we? Are we hoping for something specific to change that in the coming seasons?
