We are not playing Tevez on the wing, so we need to stop that shit.
Playing him deeper as a cam for a 4231 could work, but it requires a good tactical setup to make that work properly

Coman is hardly a proven commodity though...and Pepe still has some proving himself to do IMO. Tevez as an inside forward (just off Llorente) is essentially the same as in the hole behind him, we all know how Tevez drifts all over anyways. He wouldn't be a winger in my set up...either way I'm excited to see what formations and set ups we go with outside of our 3142...though it has dominated league play. Outside of Italy is where the adaptation needs to take place

Pepe should be as far as possible from our starting lineup as possible. People exaggerate how good he was two years ago. He was useful, but he was never that good; his limitations were clear to see, and we should be moving on from players like him if we want to grow as a team. Now, he's just a version of the one we knew but two years older and fatter.
You need to look at it from the opposite perspective

NOW however, situation is different. We have a team full of stars and awesome players. If Coman explodes, or if we want to give him chances, we'll need to go 4231.
Pepe doesnt need to make the difference in that formation, he simply needs to be the rightwing player we need to complete the formation.
I cannot stress how important players like him are, hardworking watercarriers who allow certain formations to work.
Busquets is a filthy untalented diving piece of asshole, but he was a "defensive midfielder" with the required passing to make their tiki taki work.

I agree we should give Coman/Pepe some chances this season but you don't seem to understand how Tevez as an inside forward works. He has the freedom to roam behind Llorente (same as your 4231) into the box (second striker) or drift wide. How is that clogging? We have midfielders who play very B2B and would help take pressure off Evra, who has always played as a wingback essentially throughout his career. Hell, Pepe or Coman could handle the other wing at times and Asamoah could offer some width at LCM. Just ideas anyway, wouldn't mind your 4231 set up in games against smaller teams.

Those new reports coming from not-quite-reliable-but-a-little-more-believable than Sportmediaset and Tuttosport about Vidal are interesting. And no i don't mean i'd want to sell him. I'd sell anyone before him but it doesn't stop it from being interesting. We could do a Gervinho with Chicarito, make him play decently again, puting him on a showcase and selling him for double what United intended to get.
On the same token i have to agree with something @Zacheryah said, the impact Vidal has for this team. People always seem to forget this. A good example is Neymar, a lot of people went on saying how Santos made so little money when they could have sold him years before for a huge amount either to Barca or Madrid. B
But they forget the impact he had for the team. Not only by raising the merchandise sales but by being one of the main forces behind several victories and titles. It's good for the CLUB to keep Vidal.

Meh, I disagree, we have enough water-carriers/hard workers, and not enough creative (flair/fancy) players. Actually, Pirlo is the only real creative player we have, and we are way too dependent on him, knowing that he can't produce week in, week out. Pogba and Tevez are capable of being game changers at times, but it's not really their thing. So basically, we ain't gonna create shit on a day when Pirlo is absent or off form (or marked out).

Yup, most of us were completely fed up of him. If our mgmt intends for him to be a key player this season, after 2 years of no playing and little training, while stockpiling CMs, then they are completely hopeless.
