If the mercato finishes like this:

IN: Coman, Evra, Pereyra (loan), Lukaku (loan), Morata, Shaqiri
OUT: Peluso, Isla, Padoin, Vucinic, Quagliarella, Osvaldo, Pepe

....I would be pretty happy so long as we keep our existing stars.
Squad:

GK: Buffon, Storari, Rubinho
DEF: Lichsteiner, Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Ogbonna, Evra
MID: Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Marchisio, Asamoah, Pereyra, Coman, Shaqiri
FWD: Tevez, Llorente, Morata, Giovinco, Lukaku

That squad is capable of playing almost any formation. So its tactically versatile. Nobody in their right mind would believe that Allegri is a better man manager/motivator than Conte, but he may actually be superior from a tactical point of view.

Assuming we got Shaqiri for 20-22m, Net spend would be ~15 after sales. P&L impact would be neutral in Year 1 as the transfer fees for Morata and Shaqiri would be amortized over the life of the contract - 5 years - and offset by the gains on sales of Immobile, Vucinic, Zaza. Wage impact would also be neutral I suspect.

Overall it would be a fairly cost effective mercato with arguably a better squad than last year capable of playing different formations.

I would give that mercato high marks if we were able to achieve it without selling Pogba or Vidal.

At this point, I doubt Chelsea want Lukaku out on loan. It's beyond that for them and they want some cash in return to further fund their mercato in the eyes of FFP. Unless he's bought or loaned with obligatino to buy, I can't see him coming here.

Shaqiri seems like a small possibility but I think it will come down to whether we budge on the money or not and, knowing our track record in the department, I think I'd lean towards the "unlikely" at this point.

If someone offered 50+ million euro for vidal we should really try to bring someone like isco here, a team full of muscles only will hardly bring us success in europe

    Speed flair and fancy

I read that Manchester United is "not concerned" with whether they break the world transfer record.

If we sell Vidal, we should really try to drive up the price. Maybe try to start a war with PSG, United, Bayern, and Monaco, something like that. You know Monaco will have that James cash.

@DiMarzio Gianluchino ti voglio tanto bene ma: come può la Juve cercare un DC quando ne ha 5 in rosa? Cinque eh..

    Gianluca Di Marzio ‏@DiMarzio 6m
@mamau71 se vendeva ogbonna. Infatti aveva bisogno di tempo

    Mirko Picchi ‏@arb1tr0mi2ko 8m
    @DiMarzio @mamau71 come fanno a vendere ogbonna che è a bilancio a più di 11 milioni...

    Gianluca Di Marzio‏@DiMarzio
@arb1tr0mi2ko @mamau71 hanno un'offerta credo non so ancora da chi

It seems we are looking for ogbonna's replacement as we have received an offer for him , this is why we are after another CB for those who were wondering .
Lol why would we sell Ogbonna? 11m? It's ponitless. We're losing out in this deal, have no replacement and lose quite a good defender (Astori is much worse than him and older).
