Lamela is more expensive than Shaqiri at this moment i believe. Mostly because Shaqiri want out and Bayern seem to have accepted it, while Tottenham does not want to get rid of Lamela...

That's not necessarily true. I remember a lot of big signings by the top epl teams in the past few seasons were done in the last days or even hours of the transfer window.

I think we will know about Vidal when his holiday is done. If he starts training with the team i don't think we have sold him, that would be weird for United to accept that he doesn't get the pre season with them. But if the rumours about us already having struck a deal and just waiting to make it official are true, then i don't see him going back to Vinovo when his vaca is over.

Also Bayern doesn't have the best record when selling players. Both Mandzukic and Gomez were sold fairly cheap. We need to seize this sudden oportunity.

Yeah that's the situation right now it seems. If the player pushes for the move and we won't be penny pinching I can see us getting it done (if we really have the money we were ready to offer for Itrube).

On a serious note, i think Shaqiri could be bought for less than Iturbe. I see him as less as a wild card aswell, but somehow i have a feeling Iturbe will be a world beater. Just so typical of us to miss out on those kind of signings

In the last couple of years we've gotten Vidal & Pogba, and missed out on Rodriguez (longer ago), and Veratti. Pretty fair success rate.

How do you know Tottenham want to keep Lamela?
