Exactly my thought. I don't think we will try Paulinho, he is to expensive for being back up, and we won't (hopefully) loose Vidal...
Nastasic would be great. But who would need to go in defence then? If we could loan out Ogbonna to a PL club or a sub top Serie A club, it would be great. I still believe Ogbonna could be a good player for us, but he won't see much game time next season if Nasta is joining...

That gets me thinking. What would be the most defensively inept starting 11 a team could field?

Baines - Luiz - Bonucci - Dani Alves
Pirlo would probably hang himself after due to amount of times he'd be left out to dry.

Well, Podolski might not be technically gifted but you've got to give it to him in working for the team. He's tracking back quite a bit at that LW position and helping out defensively.
Other then that, we'd need to score five a game to have a shot at winning.
That would be a great team for counter attacks but I'm not sure were the creativity would be coming from.
So we'd rely on Iturbe and Tevez to break down defenses on the wings and that either Vidal or Pogba consistantly play through balls.
I also can't see Pirlo going to the bench.
