If that is stupid then I'm gonna be speechless if we end up buying Morata for 15-18mln.
Or Ibarbo for 15-20m. Apparently Cagliari wants 20m.

20m + Quag is not too much for the kid. He's very promising and 20m is not too much these days. As for Quag he's unwanted here and he'll be hard to offload. We have to take chances like this one to get rid of his fat salary.

Those who are opposed to Iturbe just propose a better solution. Don't tell me Lavezzi because he'll cost 15-20m easily and his salar is quite big. In 2 years time he won't be worth it just like Vucinic and Quag now. He'll have no resale value and a fat contract like the two mentioned.

Shaqiri would be much better but we're not interested it seems.

I've been watching him since his loan spell at River Plate a couple years ago. He is very impressive for a kid that just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. He's quick and agile, has good ball control, and dribbling, can cross well, and has a half-decent shot. His work-rate is phenomenal. He's not going to score 20+ a season ever IMO, but I could see him turn into a 15g-10a annual in the league type winger that can not cross and cut in to shoot.

He's certainly worth 20 mil because of his age and talent. And of we can pay less than that, plus get rid of a couple mediocre squad players like Quags and Peluso, I'd be very happy. 30 mil cash would be silly. People wanted us to spend 30 mil on Jovetic though, and I think this kid is a better talent, plus he is built like a tank, so it seems unlikely he'll end up as injury prone as that Montenegro SS who I wouldn't pay more than 15 mil for.
Problem with Iturbe seems to be low IQ. Seems like he looks down and run. Something very difficult to be changed. Similar player to Lucas Moura

We need to stop transacting with Serie A teams for potential youth. These guys bleed us dry since they know we'll overpay for mediocrity.
This is true.

We are looking for talents in a putrid league.

We need to look elsewhere or punce in dudes like gabbiadini and berardi-.... but we seriously need to stop buying unknowns from lower serie A teams. We never learn or what

There's still good talent in Serie A. For example Berardi. Sturaro has been creating buzz as well that's why Marotta and Paratici jumped on that probably.

And we are looking else where for talent as well. For example Pogba. And we're rumoured to have signed both Coman and Pantic.

So I think Marotta and Paratici are doing a good job in that department they just got really work on landing that quality player. Someone who can take us to that next level.

I don't even think its the league. It comes down to the fact that buying 'good' players on weaker/average teams often doesn't translate into being a good player on a good team. You have to find exceptional players, you can't settle for guys like Isla/Pazzini/Borriello/Osvaldo. It's like Manchester City buy Sinclair/Rodwell or Liverpool buying Downing/Carroll. Those types will always disappoint. You have to be extremely selective when buying from mid to bottom of table teams. If the player is very good on Fiorentina, Lazio, Napoli or Roma you can probably be confident they're legit. If they scored 10 goals as a striker, had one good year, and play for Cagliari you should probably steer clear.

I hadn't heard of Sturaro before our interest. I get the feeling that he a Padoin-type signing.
