The main problem with Ranocchia is that, like Bonucci, he is quite slow and gangly. Today a lot of observers prefer mobile defenders who throw themselves around, but there is a role for all types as long as the defensive approach suits those attributes.

I agree. Ranocchia is not fast. But on the other hand the man is a beast in 1vs1.
I totally agree on the attributes part.

For example, I doubt Ranocchia can coexist with a player like Chiellini. Contrarly I think he would be perfect with someone like Barzagli.

A dream CB due for me would be Chiellini - Benatia. This would be the best defensive unit in the world no doubt.

If we stay with 3-5-2 we need 2 new wing backs who can actually attack, and benching Asamoah and Licht just to accomodate 3-5-2 and fucking Bonucci is ridiculous to me.

Pereyra is a realistic target without selling anyone. Udinese would take F. Rossi, and one of Zaza/Marrone. when we sell Isla, Vucinic and Quag + Immobile we will have enough money to buy Sanchez just from players sold...

I think that's what its going to be. Something similar.

Only Nani looks interesting. Berardi should stay one more season at Sass, and the other names on that list are disgusting and should fuck off.

Ranocchia is not a great defender but I do think he could improve in our team (would pick a more talented and younger defender than him though...)
As for Nani - I really hope we skip on him as he is a brainless player!

I wasnt referring to Conte`s Ability to make players play better...
I was referring to the fact defenders usually perform better at Juve than at Inter
Attacking wise we are not the best option in improving ability and form in Italy but defensive wise we are definitely the best option (if you look at the past years and maybe even further)
Ranocchia is really not as bad as it seems to be but I definitely agree we need a much better defender than him
