Ranocchia +Bonucci was a great duo with clear strenghts that synergised so well, they erased each other weaknesses.

The only issue, like many times with italians, is that they shine in a specific system, and outside that, its alot less.
Think Zambrotta at juve, and at barcelona.

Ranocchia is a beast in anticipating and 1v1 in close quarters. He's pretty agile, quick and aggressive, but he's a slow runner. He's pretty bad in open space.
If you have well organised defence playing as a unit, and a defender that covers the space behind him, ranocchia suddenly becomes a monster.
Add to that his ballplaying capabilities and great aerial skills (wich we sorely lack tbh), and you see why conte wants him

Example :Chiellini and bonucci on their own, are average. Then you add barzagli who brings a brain to the defence, and suddenly you got potentially the best central defence in the world.

Conte is a master tactician. He has a different approach from the blatant idiot mazarri. Mazzarri never bothers that much with his defence. Plays ranocchia like a stopper without backup. Because he wants to get his fancy system in place.

Conte doesnt do that, he molds the system to get most out of his players, with an eye for perfect balance and organisation.

I'm confident, if Conte wants Ranocchia (conte must believe in the player), that he can let him play as if he was Montero, with twice the size, and half the lunacy/red cards
lol....plus the best midfield in the world.... one has to wonder why we crash out of the cl in the group stage

Or won the league with 102 points
and thats where the point is. we have the best midfield and backline in the league...but not in europe, not at all

not saying we suck or so we def underperformed this year due to various reasons. but when people come up with best backline or midfield i think thats hyping ur own players and thats it. other than barzagli i see no wc player in the backline.. the fact that we hardly concede has def. to do with contes system and the squad defending as a unit. but if we fail to do it or get exposed u can clearly see that bonbon and even chiellini are anything but wc

Based off 1 bad season, where as the previous one was pretty good.

Barcelona went out in the QF. Does this means that least season juve is better then current season barcelona ? Cause we won more and had the same finish in europe

didn't we crash out in the group stage? or do u mean the 12/13 year? but if u wann compare teams from different leagues u gotta go by cl results or even el. problem here is that we have been in europe for just 2 years. the first one was good, cause we only got eliminated by bayern (even though we had a good draw with celtic) and this year was a failure. barca on the other hand has won everything in the last years. yes they haven't won 3 straight titles in the spanish league but in a league with real barca and atletico we would have a hard time winning
tbh spanish league>serie a

Conte wants a whole lot according to the media, who actually know nothing. Like jon snow.

Truth is that we only know he wanted giaccherini, and after the deal was done. And thats it. Every single other rumor is crap.

where did i prove that we have the best central defensive in the world?

btw we already had the best central defense when we faced bayern and not to forgot the best midfield with prilo marchisio and vidal still we crashed out.... which could be seen as a failure for the best defense and midfield

Juventus defender, Angelo Ogbonna, will be sold this summer.
- GdS

Antonio Conte wants Andrea Ranocchia. Inter are asking for 10M, Juve have made an offer.
- GdS

Vidal, Pogba and Llorente will only be sold if the players want to leave.
- GdS

Udinese want Zaza but Juventus do not want to include Zaza in the Pereyra deal.
- GdS

Berardi's agent: "Berardi could be a leader at Juventus, the situation is evolving and this week will be decisive."
- TuttoSport

Valencia have offered 3.5M for Vucinic, Juventus are asking for 8M. The problem is the striker's high salary.
- TuttoSport

Andrea Pirlo has extended his contract for 2 more years with Juventus. (2016)

What do we achieve by selling Ogbonna only to replace him with someone who is worse?
I think its just a rumour. But if its not, I can see why this would happen because Conte is a big fan of Ranocchia. Maybe he wants both Ogbonna and Ranocchia.

It doesnt seem that the only problem is the salary. :shifty:
I think it means Valencia would be willing to up their offer if it wasn't for his high salary. 5M each for both Quag and Vucinic and I'll be content tbh.

Dont think Rannocchia is worse, better defensive attributes then Ogbonna actually (Bari/Azzurrini days), he is just way slower then Ogbonna, who in turn has pretty questionasble defensive instincts in general (we bought him after his only Serie A season, where he was injured half of it, and the other half error prone).
