Currently we have 5 cbs: Barzagli, Caceres, Ogbonna, Chiellini, and Bonucci. If we do plan on switching to a back 4, then that is fine.

If we are selling Ogbonna it would most likely be at a loss which makes no sense, only to spend the majority of it on ranocchia? Fuck ranocchia, put some faith into our cb youth if we are going to bring someone back. Hell even bring back Marrone, who I would much rather have than Ranocchia.

It looks like we have no money, and I'm really hoping tthis is a bullshit rumor.

Dont think Rannocchia is worse, better defensive attributes then Ogbonna actually (Bari/Azzurrini days), he is just way slower then Ogbonna, who in turn has pretty questionasble defensive instincts in general (we bought him after his only Serie A season, where he was injured half of it, and the other half error prone).
But it makes no sense to sell him after only his first season in which he was a rotational player for the season.

Its because he has no future here based on this past season, he was bought as someone who eventually could grew into a starter after our 30+ CB pair, but he looks totally out of it in most of his appearances. Not someone to confide in for the future based on his performances.

Id keep him one more season. He is not so bad for a backup, plus its not like we could make a profit from his sale.

If we could give Isla a chance, we could do the same for him.

So, why does Conte doesnt agree with you, if you reject my explenation ?
Do you think coaches never make mistakes? If you're following an opinion of others then no wonder why is this world fucked up.

It's not always 'man, he said that, he's right'.

But I didn't see that Conte doesn't want Paletta. It's just the usual crap from people when they say :gsol: he worked with him at Bari, he knows it all :gsol: and if that player chokes at Inter and does poorly for many years, then that doesn't count at all.

Ferguson also took many players ahead of Pogba, so what...

Do you want to know a rumour that will not happen at 99.9% but just for the fun of it because there's no action here lately? :p

Juve will make an offer to the rats consisting in Ogbonna, Isla, Vucinic + 17m € for Cuadrado and Savic. 3m + bonuses to the Colombian. Della Valle directly dealing with Andre Agnelli. Montella would prefer Gabbia to Mirko and that could complicate the deal but not make it fail. - Brigadiere74 of VS

I posted this just for fun. The guy never got a rumour right. Maybe a youngster or 2 but that's it. :D

So we payed what 15m for Ogbonna,9m for half of Isla, and 14m for Vucinic. So we are willing to give 38m worth of purchases plus another 17m for 2 players. That would be beyond stupid.

While in fact those three players are worth a lot less. You can't count those numbers... Mirko is old and his value is half of that while Isla is probably worth peanuts. What we paid for Ogbonna and Isla was nothing but a mistake and those numbers are not their current value, so that is far from it actually.

I understand we can't think of the past value but player deals always are bad because you either value a player a whole lot higher or a lot less. Ogbonna shouldn't be sold, and we still have to pay half of isla's co-own

Not to keen on including Ogbonna in the deal, but we do have to shed some weight and this would be a pretty great way of doing it. We're trimming the wage budget, cutting lose some deadwood and really improving the squad in the process.

If Viola get all those players they're going to be a pretty serious contender next season.

Ogbonna played about 5 games as a CB in a 3 man defense, something he's never done outside of a few games in the Azzurri. The rest of the time he was playing sweeper. It's like playing Caceres at sweeper.
