Mark why are you so good at translating? :smoke:

Anyway some more rumors

Tuttosport- Gabbiadini+Berardi+Zaza+Rugani+Marrone = 42 million, In the next couple days Juventus will resolve the co-ownerships.

Daily Mirror - First offer for Lamela was rejected, the amount wasn't specified. Tottenham value him over 30m.

Gazzetta - Valencia are ready to make an offer for Llorente. Juventus will listen, and possibly the money will be used to purchase Sanchez.

Tuttosport - A bunch of English clubs want Ogbonna. Manchester United, Tottenham, and Arsenal have contacted his agent. Possible replacements would be Darmian, Ranocchia, and Janmaat.

Quite simple, we see Morata as a better option for our style. Imagine he comes here and does very well, then we'll have success on the field, the profit from Immobile's sale in the bank, and the possibility of later selling him again for profit. Performances + cash profit is the opposite of crazy, it's perfect sense, but it all boils down to his performances.
Papers are reporting everywhere Juve might not loan him, but sign him for more than 10M. You can't assume that Morata will cost less than Immobile. Financially I don't see a reason.

When it comes to performance, it's a very simple situation. If he does well, he'll be back to Madrid in one year. Then we'll go again desperately hunt for a striker. There's no permanent gain in this deal. If Immobile continues to do well, we are investing in our own asset.

If Morata does well, Madrid's asset is increasing in value.

Also, Immobile is much more experienced. He's Italian, he's homegrown. He is the reigning capocanonniere of Serie A. How many minutes Morata played last year? Immobile is clearly more prepared to contribute right away.

I only agree that as of right now, Morata style suits us better. But actually we have this slow build up tempo because we don't have players to play in a different way. Isn't that exactly what Marotta is trying to do, chasing fast wingers and ss? Immobile would help give us a different playing style option, something we desperately need.

IMO there are many reasons why this is a bad decision. The only thing that could justify it is the great need for quick cash.

Besides Immobile's finishing, he is not such a great player. He is way overhyped.

Either way you look at it positive performances from Morata are a win-win situation for us, loan or buy, because we either get performances and goals from him or we get that plus money. I wouldn't mind a loanee scoring 15 goals. You call that a losing situation, but I really don't see how.

I think he is referring to it as more of a stopgap measure, i.e. if he does well, this time next year (or whenever Real decide to use the buy back clause), we will be trying to search for a new striker.

However, both you and I know that Marotta is just waiting for Leo to run down his contract and join us after taking a paycut
