Beppe Marotta said Juventus will concentrate on keeping Antonio Conte, but warned big investments are “impossible.”

The Coach has refused to commit his future to the club unless there are reassurances over transfer strategy, forming a team that can compete for the Champions League.

“Conte showed not just with his extraordinary results, but also his modus operandi that he is among the best,” general manager Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now we are concentrated on celebrating the Scudetto, which is the end point of a remarkable run. We are focused on this and will celebrate with our fans in the best way possible.

“From Monday or probably Tuesday we will concentrate on next season and the first objective is to make the coaching situation definitive.”

Marotta was asked about reports former Roma and Zenit Coach Luciano Spalletti is in Turin for talks after an approach from Milan hit problems.

“Newspapers are having fun with various theories on available Coaches, but we are not concentrated on that.”

However, Conte’s demands for strong reinforcements appear to be falling on deaf ears at the club.

“It’s true to say big investments are impossible for next season. Our duty is to achieve an excellent sporting result via a competitive squad, but it must be conjoined with strong work behind the scenes and respecting the economic parameters.

“Certain transfer plans are nothing more than a utopia.”

BULLSHIT.

Well talk of us buying 2 World class strikers is a utpoia, but i'm not buying into the Juve are broke angle again. If we really are struggling to make a 15M signing then something's wrong and the club is going nowhere.

Asamoah (9mln for 50%)

Tevez (~12), Llorente (free), Pirlo (free), Pogba (free), Vidal (12), Licht (10), Barzagli (300k)

Bonucci (15), Ogbonna (15), Pepe (~10)

Caceres (~10), Quag (10)

Peluso (5), Padoin (5)

So yeah, I really doubt we're gonna spent big.

Ummm... yay?

We did spend big on Asamoah, no doubt about that. Matri signing was a huge failure, I'd rather stay quite about it.

Before Asamoah we only spent big on Mirko (which was not a failure). It was also spending big on Diego, Melo, Amauri.

But look at our previous transfers. There's absolutely NOTHING that indicates we'll spend big, especially not after us choking in Europe.

Yea so it should be posted repeatedly? Doesn't make sense.

Never that means we will spend big, but as I stated before a player like Sanchez, if for real available for 20-25m is a no brainer.

We signed Asamoah in a co- ownership deal. Its different from paying 18m upfront.
Same applies to Matri.
When u need players like Sanchez, you need to pay significant amt. of cash upfront and ideally in lesser installments. And we havent made such a deal in while atleast ever since Marotta took charge.

It's not like it's wrong when it's posted in any of the threads, it's not off-topic.

It is a no brainer. If you have the money, and we don't.

If only we actually knew how much money had instead of the financial experds on this forum saying we have no money.
It's not about predicting the future, but looking at the past. Just look at our starting XI and for how much money were they bough.

I've been longer on this forum and every summer we see the same thing, believe me, for over 4 years. It's always 'oh, this summer we're gonna sign a world class player/star player/20mln+ player etc. Every single transfer mercato. In August people always end up crying for not signing Aguero, Sanchez, Fabregas, van Persie, Huntelaar.

We're simply not a type of club that spends big on one player without big sales. If we do buy one this summer then THAT is gonna be a huge surprise, because the last expensive players that were bought here were Melo and Diego.

So if we don't sell Pogba or Vidal there's no way we're gonna see any big player here. When I say big I mean expensive.

I totally agree. I understand that the rumors are always going to be going on and we aren't in a position to be spending alot of money. My problem isn't necessarily the budget, but my problem right now is Conte if the rumors are right. Ever since he was here, we have never been in a position to spend a huge amount of money on players and world class players.

I want Sanchez and all these players, but I'm not really mad cause I agree with your point, if we don't sell one of our two best players we wont spend big.

I just realized, we are being rumoured to 37 year old Drogba or annoying hobo's like Osvaldo or average filler youngsters as backup for the attack, but Samuel Eto'o is out of contract this summer and he is just 32-33. He wants to prove himself even more after Mourinho mocked his age like the idiot he is, plus he still wants to play in CL and not go retire somewhere. IMO he is still good enough to be better then someone like Llorente, why not? Besides the salary. But I dont think too many top teams will be in for him (unless its someone like Monaco or such).

He left Chelsea because it was temporary contract, and because he dislikes Mourinho and found him very disrespectful coach. He still scored a respectable 12 goals as rotational player.

It would've been nice of Marotta to list the players out of our reach, is 15 million considered utopia? Is 10 million considered utopia? Nobody expects 30 million + signings but what does he mean.

Installments don't make much of a diference. Either clubs accept that way of payment or we take a loan. The small interest is the only difference and no one nowadays pays immediately the full amount when it comes to larger purchases. Very few clubs have 20-30m of cash lying around.

This is simple, if we want Sanchez we'll have to get a loan, or Barca accepts installments, but that again doesn't exclude that we might be taking a loan to finance other due obligations.

Anyways I'd be happy with a start of Nani and Evra then work from there....

If we're short on cash then give a chance to Berardi. However don't be wasting 10 million on average players like Lulic.
