If we got Nani and Cerci in the summer would anyone play a 4-3-3? With Tevez as the cf?
It worked well with Vucinic-Matri-Pepe so it could work, it wasen't the players who impressed me, it was our play and how we pressed our opponents. Nani-Tevez-Cerci with Pogba-Pirlo-Vidal and Licht at RB and maby test Asamoah as a LB, would give us a better balanced team IMO, If Cerci and Nani is the best we can get? Could be better, but the formation 4-3-3 even with Cerci and Nani looks better then 3-5-2 with fullbacks as our only wide players.

We will not drop Tevez from the starting 11 so you are implying we play a 4-2-3-1
I'm not implying anything. Well, maybe that we're just sticking to the 3-5-2 for another couple of years or we'll use Tevez a bit more wide. I dunno. What's for dinner?

Vidal and Pogba would be restricted going forward in a 4-3-3. Conte wouldn't want Pirlo alone in a counter attack from our opponents now would he.

The latter but I want Pogby and Nacho Vidal to still be a threat in front too or else the fake-fans will want them out and their value will fall.

Torino have categorically denied comments by agent Gianfranco Cicchetti this week that Alessio Cerci is set to join Juventus.

The Granata forward has been in excellent form this season, leading him to be linked with a move to a host of big clubs.

“We are commenting in light of a news story released on the site Ilsussidiario.net,” a statement on Toro’s official website reveals.

“It concerns an interview with the self-styled FIFA agent Gianfranco Cicchetti, who said that ‘Juventus had practically concluded the signing of Alessio Cerci from Torino for a fee of €20m.’

“He also said that ‘they are ironing out contract details, with only a few problems left to be resolved, and that Juventus would also pay Torino €8m for their half of the player, with Giovinco also thrown into the deal.’

“Torino Football Club communicates that this story is completely false and unfounded.

“No dialogue on this subject has taken place between Torino and Juventus. This ‘news’ is merely the fruit of Mr Cicchetti’s fantasies.”
well thank fuck for that then

I think Conte will switch between formations as he sees fit. 3-5-2 works well against teams that won't leave their own half (90% of Serie A), we might need another creative ST or CM to find and create spaces though.

The problem IMO is when we play stronger teams that will force us back in our own half, the wingbacks will offer no offensive work and it falls down to Pirlo/Tevez to make something out of nothing. There's the gap between our mid and attack.

Also I find 3-5-2 to be too exhausting for our wingbacks. It takes too much out of them. Conte needs to be more versatile for the sake of their fitness.
