Das it mane. sell one of our creative players in order to get creative players.

please tell us some more genius ideas you have
wingers=creativity, noob speak

Yeah I think we could easily just go back to a 352 occasionally anyway. I'd hate for us to stall now and halt progress for the sake of buying players suited to a flawed formation

Yeah the lack of rotation hindered us. But even when we're fit & firing we just look insanely predictable and far too reliant on a bit of individual magic.
You're going to play a lot of 3-5-2 next season (especially early on) simply because your defenders are used to playing with 3 at the back.

Yea cause our team relies on pogbas creativity.
i have seen the formations you have posted. you want a cental mid of mrchisio-vidal.

have you watched juve during the capello era? we had two of the best wingers of all time, including a legendary player, and juventus were completely uninspiring in their play due to their reliance on wingers to create everything

I don't see how changing to a 433 would require a choice between Tevez and Llorente. The 433 which we played in Conte's first season had Vucinic on the left and Pepe on the right. Pepe and Lichtsteiner were bombing it up and down the flank the whole game, often overlapping and generally being wingers.

Vucinic on the left, though, was playing as much more of an SS than a LW. I'm not sure if he took it down the line instead of cutting in even once. I don't see why Tevez couldn't play like that, with Giovinco as a backup (and therefore being used as he was at Parma when he had those two great seasons).

By that rationale we would only need to sign two wingers, both for the RW. Of course that's presuming that Isla doesn't suddenly recover whatever tactical understanding and ability to make decisions that he had pre-injury. If Isla comes back into some kind of form he could be used as a RW bench option.

So if switching to a 433 we could get away with only signing two RWs and one LB.

The thing that worries me most about going to a back 4 is that although as a team I think we have the potential to function better in all competitions, individually our central defenders are not all that great. The trio of Chiellini, Barzagli and Bonucci works as they have a good mix and as a unit defensively they are good. they suffer against teams who have pace on the wings and attack out wide because Lich and Asa are asked too much of them and then the Pirlo offering zero defensive skills to help out effects it also. So by moving to a back 4, we can prevent teams from pressing us on the wings and it may even help Pirlo somewhat, but I do have concerns on how Chiellini and Barzagli function together as the two CBs. The other factor is that Bonucci seems to be the man who does the passing moving forward from defence, Chiellini and Barzagli don't really do it...if Pirlo is having an off day then how does it work?

I would just like to know what funds are available if we do not sell Pogba. The thought of losing a player who is destined to be a world player of the year in a few years time doesn't sit right with me. We shouldn't be selling the future of the club, we should be selling and making changes to players who are nearing the end or are not good enough.

I would like to see what a midfield trio of Vidal, Pogba and Asamoah is like with the attacking/creative spark coming from the final third rather than deep in midfield from a player who is in his mid 30s. I know football has changed since Lotti was at Milan but Pirlo played in a midfield that had Kaka a head of him and that worked as well...we do not necessarily need to play with two wingers off the main striker but even add one player who can link up with our midfielders and be that link up in the final third. That is what we lack...

we talk about Llorente not being good enough but if he had better service he could offer so much more. His wages are big but if we bring in quality wingers, names such as di maria for example, their wage demands would be double. That is the reality in the football world today, good players cost money...if we cant afford to pay them then we need to settle for average players. I personally want llorente to stay unless someone offers 25 million for him and we can replace him with a player who is better...but then again, cavani at 8 plus million wages isn't doable.

If i sum up what i've read here... people want us to slowly go to 4-3-3... have creativity at the front (cuadrado-Llorente and Tevez in free role or something) and have more good players to keep on rotating...

so basically:

Switch to 4-3-3, buy Cuadrado... get menez for free... sell Quag and get Immobile... if we sell vuci --> replace with Gabbiadini or someone like that... and a good LB...

this is a good summary of the last couple pages if i'm correct

I don't know if Isla will be a goner. I mean he's improved quite a bit and has been getting some decent minutes lately.

Everyone wants Cuadrado because he reminds us of Ronaldinho. Cuadrado is perhaps the most creative player in Serie A right now and he plays RF/RW/RM which we really need a player for.

Berardi should be brought back as well as he's a mixture of RF/CF and would fit in well, given his decent pace and good finishing.

The sale of Pogba depends on a few things. If Pogba doesn't want to renew it's only a matter of time before he's gone. Agnelli has already said it. If the offer is big enough (I believe € 80m+) we will sell him. The funds of such a transfer should be canalized into creative wingers, similar to the way Napoli spend some of their Cavani funds on Mertens and Callejon

Berardi won't have as much playing time here as he has in Sassuolo or some other serie A team... IMO we should buy his second half if we have the money left (we shouldn't start the mercato with buying halves and so on...) and loan him to Palermo for instance (if sassuolo relegate and Palermo get back to serie A...) Because he simply isn't good enough for us (yet)...

Cuadrado is the Cavani/Aguero/Van Persie/Jovetic of this year... the attacking player we all want... but will probably be a bit too expensive for us...
If fiorentina buy the other half of Udinese (for lets say 15M)... they probably want 35M+ for Cuadrado... For us thats impossible... but for Bayern (or City or PSG or whatever) it isn't

I'd like Cuadrado here, and like most I consider him to be an excellent player that would give another dimension to this team, unpredictability that we sorely lack, but in no way does he remind me of Ronaldinho. That's some crazy talk right there. :) And I'd rather use the word tricky than creative when describing Cuadrado.

As for Pogba I'd more prefer player exchange deal; considering the crazy price tags nowadays and the fact that most teams would be aware of our sudden influx of cash, they'd be making our life difficult. Still hoping that he stays though.

17m for Candreva  I never liked that fucker, even if his contract was expiring I'd still be indecisive about signing him.

I think he's a good player and he'd be a great back up, but that price is hilarious. Although... when he was at Juve his asking price was 15mln. At Lazio he did get better, but still, too much money.

Lulic and Baldé for Gio + a couple M :beppe:

12 million, give or take, is a fair price for Candreva. He has improved quite a bit compared to when he was here. Is is completely owned by Lazio?

Return Isla back to sender and get Candreva's half in return. Win win :D

I would actually really like Candreva here. Can play in a variety of positions (RW, RWB, CM, AM etc), has great stamina, good technique and a wonderful long shot on him. Not for 17M though.
He's one of those players who won't have interest from outside Italy, so I doubt they'd get 17 million for him. Not in the summer at least.
