i think in the 3-5-2 our midfield (especially Licht, Asa, Pogba and Vidal) has to run really much. thats why good backups are very important at these positions (and besides Marchisio and Isla we dont have any). our starting XI is really good, top5 in Europe i would say. but when you want to give some rest to Vidal, Pogba or Asa (or some gets injured) we have to play Marchisio (will probably be used more as a Pirlo sub) Padoin and Peluso and thats not good enough comparing to ther top 5-6 teams

I actually see something more like this back up cm: Fausto Rossi/Marrone, lwb : Lulic, attacking mid: Bonaventura/Pereyra

but i think we need more than just 3-4 players. 6-7 new would be good as players lose motivation over time and playing with the same team for a long time (with little changes made every summer) isnt so good either.

Yea for sure, I think we would need at least 2 new cms for proper rotation, along with a lwb possibly another cb, a striker(if we aren't redeeming osvaldo), and again that attacking player to change things up.

Yea for sure, I think we would need at least 2 new cms for proper rotation, along with a lwb possibly another cb, a striker(if we aren't redeeming osvaldo), and again that attacking player to change things up.

it will depend mostly i think on what we do with Vucinic and Quag. if we swap them in without giving much cash (Ranocchia and Lulic) we could use our money for other players like Pereyra, Teixieira . It will also depend who we might get for free (David Pizarro ). those good deals where we dont use much money could really affect who we would spend our transfer budget on.

If we got rid of Vucinic, traded Quag for Lulic, and traded Giovinco for Paletta, would you guys purchase Osvaldo and bring in a youth player ?

Article suggests Udinese value him at 10m or a little more than that.

In playing style you could view him as a less energetic, but technically superior version of Giaccherini.

I tend to think he's best when playing in a midfield three and given the freedom to break forward, but I've seen adequate performances from him in a variety of positions (wing-back, trequartista, sort of winger).

Pereyra will be that CM and LM/LWB.

the man explained it well here. i could see him as a good Vidal backup, while he could still cover other positions like LWB, RWB, RW.

we 1st lost Radja and then Guarin. now that they got away, from Serie A, the most likely seem Baselli/Bonaventura, Pizarro if he doesent renew his contract, Marrone getting back, or someone from Udinese (i dont know Udinese players that much so Pereyra/other Udinese CM). we could also focus on getting midfielders from other leagues...

i would bring Osvaldo as Conte seem to trust him. but not at the price we agreed with Soton. i would pay around 10M or otherwise get Immobile/Gabbiadini....

One offensive cm bench option.
Cauese cheesio should be the option for cdm, whilst pogba and vidal dont have an offensive stand in.

Osvaldo can grow in a llorente sub, whilst immobile could become a tevez sub and general frontline utility.
