4-4-2/ 4-2-4 (we can't play with just 2 midfielders as we would be inhibining vidal and pogba's attacking threat)

4-3-1-2 ( we don't have an attacking midfielder of good enough quality but if we do buy one then it's worth a shot)

3-4-1-2 (we won't stick to a 3 man backline in Europe and we play with just 2 midfielders as it would inhibit vidal and pogba)


If we want a 4 man backline we either for for an attacking midfielder behind tevez and llorente (4312) or we stick tevez on the wing and buy some wingers (433) or we bench pirlo and restrict vidal and pogba from attacking in a (424/4231)

in serie a I would use pirlo but in champions league I would use marchisio as hold. anyways, the 2 box to box midfielders can defend too. and conte used pogba pirlo vidal against real Madrid so ur point is pretty irrelevant.

mentality? hell no. against teams like those I expect our B team to destroy them. the problem is that 352 does not press the opponent so they enjoy ball possession. however when we have possession their can press because of their 3 attackers therefore our 3 centre backs panic and make mistakes. No body has won a CL with a 3 man defence and never will. we MUST change formation to a 4 man defence.
