Crap.

I thought it would be smart to swap Pogba for Verratti and cash and than trigger Strootman's release clause (for example 30m?), as we would be missing some strength in midfield if we let Pogba leave.

It's again win-win situation, because we would weaken Roma signifcantly as well.
That's not win-win

Why on earth would we use all of Pogbas sale for 2 more midfielders

We have no left back, no Wingers and no attacking midfielder. 2 CMs would be the definition of a failed mercato.

Zizinho is probably right.

We'll sign stg like free Menez + Cerci (10M + 1/2 Immobile) + Ranocchia (Vucinic + a few mil) or Paletta or stg like that.

Conte we'll keep the 352, only alternating the scheme a bit more. Pirlo will renew not cheapily and will be kept on the starting team.

Summing it up, we'll improve the squad but major changes won't be made. Raiola is hardballing on Pogba maybe 'cause he wants him to leave in a free... he could get even more money off the books in this situation.

Nope.

If the transfer happens, I think we're going to ask for Di Maria + Coentrao.

We're being linked with Taro Sugimoto. @JuveJay

Marca says 60mln from Real for Pogba. And I didn't even see the article till now and they mention Di Maria + Coentrao
Pogba for Di Maria + Coentrao? I'm in.

This would guarantee quality signings with Pogba's value. If Marotta gets 60/70M for him, we'd be at risk of him buying 100 Padoins.

Hi guys, I'm kinda new here. I've registered a while ago, but haven't posted until now.

For this mercato, I'm pretty sure that nothing dramatic will happen unless we sell Pogba. Big income of sponsorship money is to start in 2015, and then we can hope for some star player(s) to show up. Until then, we are working "on the budget", like we have seen in thr last couple of years.

Conte said to the executives that he wants to be able to play 4-3-3 upcoming season. That was his main request in negotiations regarding new contract. If they want him to sign, the have to get him what he wants - wingers, or at least one, for right side. We will also look to offload three of our attackers - Gio, Quags and Mirko, and buy Osvaldo only if Southampton is willing to sell him for a bargin. Conte is attracted to Gabbiadini and Berardi, and one of them is coming to Juve for sure. Both, if possible, but that will be very difficult, impossible if we buy Osvaldo. Immobile is probably being sacrificed in "Operation Cerci". Cuadrado is Conte's biggest dream, but that is almost impossible. Regarding Menez, Conte dislikes him, so chances of seeing him in black and white are minimal.

For LB I'd like to see Santon. He's quite young, yet experienced, and wouldn't be expensive. Also, he's Italian.

If we sell Pogba, that changes everything, and I hope that Conte, Beppe and Andrea have a good strategy in that case.

Anyway, a very interesting mercato is ahead of us, I wish us all good luck.

Hello there, welcome and enjoy your stay :pint:

Pretty reasonable post, although some parts look like inside info. :D To be honest I really hope we're gonna play with wingers next year, but I also think selling Pogba would realize that wish much easily. If not, I don't see us getting quality winger(s) and we'd probably have to satisfy with Cerci/Nani. I'm not sure that would increase our quality at all.
