Eventually we're going to pull a Zidane with Pogba and sell him for a close to world record fee to PSG or Real Madrid. I'm hoping we keep him perhaps 2-3 more years first. It's a little different as we got Zidane at 23 and sold him at 28. But can anyone here tell me they were unhappy with the squad quality added due to Zidane's sale? If we could do something similar in selling Pogba, I'd be very happy. Again, not this summer. We need to resign him and keep him for another 2-3 years when at 22 or so he will sell for an insane amount, and perhaps will have helped us to UCL Semi-finals/final by then.

Not going anywhere with Iturbe. We need to step it up.
A lot of people said the same thing about Cavani in 2010... Not that I think Iturbe is going to be a Cavani, but I think he's going to be a fantastic player. He's oozing with potential ever since his time River Plate. He could definitely turn into a winger on the edge of that world class bracket. There are others I would prefer, but none of them are coming for 15 mil.

In 6 months people have forgotteen just how fantastic Cavani is

Absolute goal scoring machine, truely World Class. No thanks though, we have Quags.
Context is needed.

Werent you the one saying we can get Cavani to take a paycut to come here ? Yeah sure, keep living in a fantasy world.

2nd choice or 3rd choice doesn't mean I don't want him.

also, cavani is on rooney level wages, my estimation from internet articles.
Yup he earns 10m net yet these naive fans think we can somehow attain him.

Cavani would probably take a small pay cut. Same people laughed when I said it about Tevez
If a player wants to move, he will generally accept a small pay cut. Nothing unrealistic about that. Or is Tevez getting 12M a year a Juve? No.

And, what Context? People are saying there's no need because we have Llorente. Yeah because Llorente is on par with Cavani after half a season in serie A.

People overrate players purely because they play for us, madness.

Lol zero argument.First of all Tevez' peak has passed and he probably has earned all the money he could already.Whereas Cavani is in his prime ,and one of the most feared strikers in the game right now.Why would he be silly to take a paycut to come here when there are atleast 4-5 clubs ready to offer his current wage or even higher. And considering he loves Napoli its unlikely he would be dying to come to us so much so that he'd be willing to take a paycut.Yes its is ofcourse unrealistic.

And second of all Tevez dint take 'massive' paycut. It was only by 1-2m at most considering his reported wage at City were gross. This is a misconception people have over here that Tevez took a massive paycut.

And yes context matters here because people are realistic and know Cavani move wont materialize not because 'oh he's not needed cos we have Llorente'.Plus the point about resale value is a valid reasoning.Unless we're talking about swapping him with Messi and Ronaldo who'd obviously bring a lot of money to the club because of their worldwide popularity, financially it doesnt make sense to swap a 20 year old massive asset(in financial terms) for Cavani.

Besides PSG dont even want to let him go unless a team offers them 100m(according to GDM)..And here i was thinking EPL/Milan forums were worse

I see you've been easily confused, so i'll simplify this

This scenario is about Cavani coming to Juve IF he was involved in a swap deal with Pogba. This is NOT about Cavani being transfer listed, and picking Juve over Madrid/Chelsea/Bayern whoever

This is about a hypothetical situation where Cavani has 2 choices. Stay at PSG or come to Juve in a Pogba swap deal

So, just to make this post absolutely full-proof. This is NOT about us beating clubs to Cavanis signature. Of course he won't pick us over other clubs who offer a similar wage to his current one. This is about PSG offering us Cavani in exchange for Pogba, otherwise he would not be for sale at all. In this scenario, Cavani has two choices. He can continue to play out of position to accomodate Ibra (He's allegedly unhappy with this) OR he COULD come to Juve and take a small pay cut.

Aaaaaaand PSG offering Cavani in a swap exchange for Pogba is NOT happening man..Almost a 0% chance. So its useless discussing this.

Its also been told several times that we cant afford his wages.Even if he were to take a small paycut,it would still be deemed as expensive for us.

I'm not saying it will happen, but this thread isn't really just about discussing near 100% guaranteed transfers, otherwise it would be about 20 pages long.

I don't think we'll ever get Cavani, but i'd love to see it.

Hmm,fair enough but no need to mock those who dont want him or dont think they'll get him for completely different reasons.Ofcourse we'd love to have him but we know its just a totally unrealistic scenario.

If you ask me,i'd rather have just plain cash or cash + Verratti in exchange which has more possibilities of happening.

Okay, so say it does happen. Will Cavani bench Osvaldo, pushing Llorente further down the ranks?
