Well said man.+REP

Only that I doubt we"ll bench Tevez or Llorente.
I think Conte might use Carlito on the left. And go after RW(Nani/Cerci/Cuadrado),Berardi as back up and maybe Menez as back up as well.
Osvaldo and Gabbiadini Llorente back ups.

What you think?
if we really are to leave the 352 (which i doubt) then the next season we will use both 352/433 depending on the opponent we are up against... the season after that i can see us switch between 433/4231 (pirlo and tevez rotating) and have the 352 as a backup plan when defending a good score in the CL... but thats only if we really are changing the formation which probably wont happen...

I think Tevez on the left could work, so long as we had a top quality right Winger who is capable of beating his man AND putting in quality crosses on a regular basis.
Lavezzi, Di Maria, Cuadrado and even Nani could add unpredictability that we sorely lack. Player capable of creating something in the final 3rd, when faced against well organized defense, fuoriclasse as Italians call that guy. We even struggled vs Copenagehen in Turin ffs.

Yeah like I said, we have literally no player on our squad who can run in behind teams, or take their man on properly

Pirlo, Llorente and Pogba are our 3 best players at taking their man on really.

One is a B2B CM, one is a Deep lying playmaker and one is a 6'5 210 pound striker who is very slow. This is just unacceptable.

Yeah,1 good winger + Berardi and maybe free Menez is possible mercato for us.
With or without other backups.

We are the only team from these top european sides who cannot make a decent counter attack.I dont remember when was the last time we made a counter let alone score from one.Roma is in scudetto race still, just because they can counter and turn around the game in which they are struggling.

Cerci has a lot of pace, and has the ability to send in some nice crosses in. I think Llorente would benefit a lot from that.

we will most probably be after players who can can play in both 3-5-2 and 4-3-3. Conte probably doesent want to abandon his well known system because if the new formation fails he can always get back to his main system... so something like this maybe in the summer would be good:

Cuadrado (RW/RWB) - he is our main target for the summer as the latest rumours suggest.. will be very difficult to get and i dont know about a similar player who could be a backup option if we fail to sign him. Menez or Cerci are the most mentioned but they cant play RWB (maybe they can against lower serie a teams)..

Coentrao (LB/LWB) - or another player of his type (Kolarov, Adriano)... that way Asamoah could be a backup for 2 positions LWB and CM for Pogba/Vidal and Marchisio as a backup for Pirlo... it is better than getting another midfielder because if we get a CM then Asa has no quality backup... if we fail to get him then a new CM is required... however, i think a CM will be added instead...

Berardi (RW/SS) - a much better option than cerci if you ask me... he is capable of partnering both Llorente and Tevez in the 3-5-2 and would be a quality backup for Cuadrado and get a lot of playing time comming of the bench... Giovinco will be our 5th striker (and backup LW) next season and if we fail to sell both Vucinic and Fabio then we will probably not buy Osvaldo (that would be 6 strikers for the 352) so Berardi will be, along with Vuci/Qua/Osvaldo, our backup in 352 and backup winger in 433... thats a lot of playing time for him to develop....

Osvaldo - we will buy him (not for the 20M) only if we sell both vucinic and quagliarella... good option as Llorente backup if he is buyed...

Ranocchia - if we get him then Caceres may leave, but it would be better that Peluso leaves because Caceres is our only RB along with Licht... if peluso is gonne then it could be something like this... RB - Licht/Martin CB - Barzagli/Chiellini(Ogbonna)/Bonucci/Ranocchia LB - Coentrao/Chiellini(Ogbonna)... one of Chiellini/Ogbonna may be the backup LB then....

thats 5 players without the youngsters we always buy, for that i think murru is a must buy, then loan him out for 1 season and see if hes ready for us + hes for free... seems pretty hard to get these players especially Cuadrado and Coentrao but i hope Marotta gets enough money from Agnelli to achieve this or something simillar...:beppe: :D

It's simple really. Get Aguero, Di Maria and Marcelo, all our problems would get solved on the spot. Retaining our assets and getting rid of Giovinco should be the priorities though.

We definetely should bring Cerci. However not because he's such an awesome player but the reason for this move is a deadwood in our ranks that we won't be able to sell for a decent price. Here I mean Giovinco and Immobile whom could be of Torino interest. Gio is clearly useless for us and Ciro is having great season with Granata but we have much better strikers than him. Consequently I think it's good time to make a profit out of him while he still performs. Could be risky though because one can never predict how a player develops.

After two bad seasons I think it'll be very hard to find a suitor abroad willing to pay a decent amount for Giovinco. Italian clubs are broke so won't spend on him aswell. Neither they could afford Immobile. I wonder whether EPL clubs have learnt their lesson from buying players from Italy. If they did, we won't be getting much money for the neapolitano.

And here comes Torino. They have no money but they do have a player we need - Cerci. As I previously said they are surely interested in Ciro and apparently might want Gio. It's a win-win situation for both clubs. We'd be getting a good winger and getting rid of players we don't need. Of course no cash involved. I think that's the main advantage of Cerci option.

Adding a free Menez to that mix would allow us to spend money only on one very good winger but having three of them as a result (even assuming that those two wouldn't be as good). I forgot about Berardi. We could bring him too but maybe he would get little playing time.

even RUS and his paint drawn analysis of willems positioning made it obvious he's not cut out for a top team
Why not? Whenever I've seen him play (which is a lot), he has been very good. Please don't criticize players you have never seen play just to hit back at Janna.

I never said that he is as talented as pogba. I just said that he would be that type of low risk and high reward purchase. after all, he is only 19 and he is a STARTER for the nertharlands. we could easily buy him for 5-8m and even if he flops we don't loose much. he can work with his positioning.

being a starting defender for the netherlands doesn't mean shit, especially for a nation who have struggled to produce a decent defender since Jaap Stam.

we don't have 5-8 mill to piss away and hope for the best, it is still a loss at the end of the day
