Saw this on twitter, don't know how true it is.

Lets say Sanchez and Iturbe were on the market for the same transfer price, ~25M. (Which is not true, but for the sake of the argument, we'll keep them the same)

Juventus would be spending 24M euros more on Sanchez's wages over 5 years compared to Iturbe.

So, that's why we're not after Sanchez. :)

Really hope nobody moves for him and Beppe doesn't low ball it, and gets the boy. Cuadrado is worth every penny!

Pogba--Rabiot--Vidal
Coman--Tevez(Llorente)--Cuadrado

I want some of those drugs too!

Cuadrado is currently better than Iturbe. As it should be. Cuadrado is in his prime at 26 and Iturbe is barely 21. Iturbe has the potential to be better than Cuadrado when he reaches his prime. We are in on him now for about 25m. If you think Cuadrado goes for under 35-ish, you are crazy. Besides the fact the Viola wouldn't sell him to us for an offer they could receive from outside Italy. I refer you to the Jovetic saga ( which by the way, shows a flop of a transfer at 35m, and people here wanted us to pay that).

Iturbe is a better transfer for us because of age, potential, wages, and primarily a transfer fee that will likely be around 10m lower. Could he not pan out? Yes. Then again, so could Cuadrado, he's had two good seasons, he's 26. He could flop here also. And at 35-40m transfer fee and likely 1.5-2x the wages.

Its still a gamble that's if he continues his progress to fulfill his potential, he's shown it but it's not guaranteed he is going to be the "next Messi". He could be a dud, if we get him I hope for the best. I just feel Moratta could play craps at better tables.

Let's just get it over with. He is not going to be "the next Messi". If he turns into a player of similar quality to Sanchez, we're over the moon here, and paying 25m for him is peanuts.

Big "if", sure, but the fact that it is a realistic discussion makes it worth gambling on.

"That 25M over 5 seasons" could also be the difference in the CL
