if we dont get a sanchez type signing, meaning a bona fide starter, it will not be a decent let alone good mercato
Agreed.

Lulić, Pereyra and Morata - those would be depth signings and nothing more. We would go through to last 16 of CL, but not far from there.

At first I was hoping for Di Maria and Sanchez with Nani and Gabbiadini as back up wingers. Now I'll be happy with Perreyra and Bonaventura with Gabbiadini and Berardi as back ups. :D

I'm expecting an average mercato. We'll weather the storm this season and use the influx of funds from all the new sponsorship deals for a solid mercato next season. I'd be really surprised if we pull off a Sanchez type deal this season.

We'll receive about 10M for the Immobile sale. Now we just need to offload a few more players like Quagliarella, Vucinic, and a few others and have some cash to play with.
The thing is who would want to pay the going rate for Quag and Vucinic?

With both players not featuring in our plans and with our very bad history of selling players, I think no clubs will come in with a decent bid and just bide their time until the dying moments of the transfer window and look to pick up the players on the cheap our even take them on loan and have them running down their contracts with us and picking them up on a free ie "the Tiago fiasco".

I expect us to improve our bench while adding a few verstaile players for switching formations.

As you say next year will be when we add a few top players to the starting line up.

The only time we really had a killer Mercato was when we sold zidane and inzaghi.. the other players all came for a pretty low price (del piero 3.5M? Camoranesi something around 8M) we never broke the bank and we won't do that this mercato.. it's simple as that

But we will win the league again so that makes everything ok.

Anyone who watches Sevilla? Opinions about Alberto Moreno?

My brother told me he looks promising. I see he's only 21yo (left back).
Liverpool's offering 20m, he's worth it though
