Why he didn't score that amount in those days?
Injuries. He really was an explosive striker but his health was destroyed in Inter.

As for Di Maria - I think we can forget about him. Real won't sale their MOM in the final cheap (less than 40 mil.).
Perreyra looks like a fine player for the wing. He has a strong physique which is also very good.

We will need another AM and I don't mind making a gamble with unknown name and using youngster as a third and fourth option.

Because back in those days current worlds finest, in other words hacks like Luiz, Ramos, Pique, would be plying their trade in some obscure leagues and clubs unknown to most, watching CL matches only on TV.

Asamoah has already shown he has great strength, good stamina and defensively solid.

offensively he has gotten a lot better this year, have no doubt he will be fantastic at LB if Conte uses him there too.

For those, used to messi walking past defenders with acres of space, see some real dribbeling

Fucking miss players that could do this. Wich is why that second madrid goal yesterday made me so happy. That Di Maria action, reminds me of days when football was still amazing to watch

Meh, he almost died, suffered heart attack or something, the question is - was it because of doping or because of something else

It later transpired that the Inter striker had suffered a fit while sleeping on the day of the game. Details emerged over the following days and weeks that made for grim reading. Defender Goncalves revealed: "Ronaldo was foaming at the mouth, struggling, breathing with a lot of difficulty and very pale". Hotel director Paul Chevalier heard people crying "he's dead, he's dead", while room-mate Roberto Carlos blamed the pressure of holding the hopes of a nation on his shoulders, as well as the dreams of marketing men. "Ronaldo was scared about what lay ahead," he said. "The pressure had got to him and he couldn't stop crying ... here was a 21-year-old player, the best player in the world, surrounded by contracts and pressure. Something had to give. And when it did, it happened to be the day of the World Cup final."

Asamoah isn't good enough for left back position. He was invisible when we played against RM. He only have to good things for a LB - speed and stamina.
invisible? he played as a defender and held his ground against bale and if pogba would've helped him out vs bale second goal might have never happened
Asamoah can overlap the LW which in this case would probably be Tevez/Giovinco/Nani(if he comes)

Performance enhancing drugs wouldnt have such effect

WHat DOES have such effect, are overdoses of beta blokkers or any other serious stuff to calm a person.

He was breaking under the pressure

I read that we're selling or swaping Llorente in order to get Sanchez and his replacement will be Drogba. That woulde be the stupidest choice, we have a great goalscorer, post player striker who still has 3-4 years ahead of great performing and that, given this market, doesn't have a huge salary. Instead we're getting Drogba whose prime's been gone many years ago and that still demands top player salary. If we want a right winger so bad we could surely use Gabbia who has had a great season playing a rw and that is much younger and cheaper than Sanchez. I think Conte is only staying for one season so he's not caring for the long term project. We already have a top starting XI, we should complete it with young talented players to add more depth and bench options

Here we go again

Yeah fuck Alexis, he's an old man. Let's get the ultra World class Gabbiadini instead because he's already done more than Sanchez ever will

I will agree that Drogba should not be a starter for us at all, if we do indeed want to sell Llorente for Alexis then we should just redeem Immobile.

Would you like to guess why Gabbia is cheaper than Sanchez?

agree gabbiadini is not even a natural RW wtf Sanchez is OBVIOUSLY superior. I would take gabbiadini as a sub for llorente though
