No doubt about that for me. Di Maria is supreme player, but Bale is fantastic as well. Yeah, he doesn't have technique like Argentinian, but his athleticism is impressive and modern football really favors this trait.
how the bursted away from his marker and missed in the 78th minute or something, that was some pace, damn.

I'd like to see a sprint between him and ronaldo

You mean real Ronaldo, man that would be close and I'd pay to see that. But Ronaldo had amazing technique, excellent dribble, perfect shot, while being fairly strong and that kind of player today would score 50-60 goals per season, easily.

do you watch our games at all? our "wingbacks" are not creative enough far from it. these stats are deceiving. we really do need attacking midfielders to progress
what are they supposed to do, dribble past 3 men and deliver an inch perfect cross to Llorente's tippy toe every single time?

Asamoah's vastly improved his penetration this season, Licht's crossing still sucks but he is still a guarantee on that right flank.

Why he didn't score that amount in those days?
First season at psv : 35 goals in 36 games (age18)
Second season : injured half the year, 19 goals in 21 games

First year barcelona : 47 goals in 49 games

went straight to inter

First season inter, at the peak of serie a, and defensive football, with players like Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, etc : 47 goals in 49 games

Then, he tore off his knee ligaments. became borderline obese, went to real

still scored 30 in 44, 31 in 48 and 24 in 45, despite overweight and much less agility in his knee's.

won brazil the 2002 world cup, whilst beeing overweight

Best forward in history before his injury

I've seen messi run around in defences that are to mediocre to even mention, and gets shut down when a good opponent or milan goes like ROFL LMAO 2HOLDINGMIDS.

I've also seen Ronaldo made Nesta and his incredibly good defensive Lazio side (including nedved), look like amateurs and won 3-0.

Nesta still considers Ronaldo the best he ever played against, citing him as a nightmare. Nesta aged 37 Marked Messi out of the game at an average milan team.

That, is how good Ronaldo was before his ligaments broke down
