But if he's ready for Juve why would we bring him back 1 season only to ship him off again the next?

Yeah, he's an inside forward. But we're wanting to switch formations to give our team genuine width. All he can do is cut in & shoot AKA a poor mans Tevez when he is played out wide. He would add very little to Juventus AND his career would be stalled by a year at least.

And he's obviously not good enough to start so he won't be getting regular game time which, again, is bad for him.
He's an intelligent player who has an eye for his teammates as well. He can provide an assist from a cross or a lay-off as he's pretty good with his weak foot too. Conte showed that age isn't a factor if the player is good enough. What had Pogba achieved when we signed him?

If you want to list a young player who made the step up I'll list 50 who have failed

Expecting youngsters to do what Pogba has done is like expecting every 10Million signing to be as good as Vidal.

Pogba has probably become the best player of Juventus. There is not a gem like him every year. I'm not expecting Berardi to be the best player in Juve in a year or two. I'm expecting him to come here, settle down, learn from the pros and slowly become a part of the starting XI.
Give the boy a chance to prove himself. If he fails, so be it, loan or sell him?

I want to see the Milan-r@per in black and white. What can it hurt? Berardi's career? Do you feel sorry for the boy if he isn't gonna make it BIG?

I think its time to part ways with players like Quags, Mirko, Padoin, etc. Replace them with the youth like Immobile, Gabbiadini (can't spell his name), and Berardi

Replace these aging and fringe players with homegrown youth and lets see what they are made of.

It's not about feeling sorry for him. It's about us bringing in a Winger and changing formation for a KID and hoping all goes well when there's an overwhelming chance that it fails and we're left with a left wing spot and nobody good enough to fill it. Fast forward several disappointing games later and Berardi is dropped, Conte is mad and 3-5-2 is here to stay for another year.

Now, if we bring him back to be a strict back-up to let's say, Lavezzi (Just an example) then Berardi certainly WON'T get enough games to progress and it would be a pointless transfer.

We took a chance on another kid, Pogba, and that turned out well.

Ideally we sign two top notch wingers. But we can't afford that. Better we sign one class player then two mediocre.
Serie A is currently the least competitive that i can recall for a lot of years. Now is the perfect time to build for the future. We have a third time scudetto winning team here, but in numerous positions we have players over the age of 32. This is a crucial warning factor. Look how United did this season when Sir Alex left a sinking ship with old players and unproven talent.

I'm not saying Berardi should be a starter for next season in a 4231 or 433, i'm saying he should be in the team for Conte to pick over Giovinco, Gabbiadini, Pepe, or whoever we have for the right wing. We're back to the classic discussion of what is preferable: 15 games with Juve or 30 games with Sassuolo. There's a huge difference for the player to be fighting for a title or fighting against relegation.

I'll agree that signing one top player and gambling on Berardi is better than two Islas if it comes down to it. But my main concern is we either put too much responsibility on Berardi and he fails, resulting in Conte taking the understandable precaution of resorting back to 3-5-2.

OR, we use him so sparingly that we hinder our most promising young player (Ciro is a good few years his elder)

I posted a lineup for the coming season with Berardi on the right, but I didn't state that Berardi should be a starter if he comes here. He's 19 years old, and same with Pogba none rated him a starter after the transfer. If we're to play with wingers from next season on we need a bunch for those two positions. Tevez playing on the wing isn't ideal, so even if we had two good wingers we'd still need a few more for competition/rotation. This is where Berardi is perfect IMO. Giovinco has played 16 games so far this season. 16 games here would be perfect for Berardi. El Shaarawy had a bad first season in Milan too, yet the second season he managed to become a key player for them and a regular for Italy and Prandelli. If Berardi gets another season somewhere else, probably in a bottom table club and do extremely well there's no guarantee he'll come here a season later and become a key player. Young players need time to settle and IMO Berardi has proven this season, that he is good enough to get ~15 games here.

Lets only take chances on kids displaying the potential of Pogba.

Here is the deal with all you closet pedophiles.

Juventus is a topteam. We want to win every game. If a youngster has big potential, but doesnt have the quality now to challenge for a place in first team, and is not consistant enough, then he has no place at juve

Such youngsters are loaned out or co owned.
