Berardi is very inconsistent. Most of his goals, were scored in the same games. Its not like he consistantly performs. He had a few amazing games, and then long periods of nothing. When did he score his last goal ? quite a while ago.

Montero was a beast (a slow one at that), but a beast nonetheless. He was aggressive (sometimes too aggressive) but usually fair
Ranocchia is nowhere near that level yet. I see where you are going with his potential, but like Mike said earlier, he might be mentally weak, lack confidence, has massive dips in concentration and form, and that can't all be down to the system or the fact that he is playing for a crappy club. If we are hellbent on getting rid of Vucinic, and he really wants to go to Inter, then a straight swap might be ok, but any substantial cash outlay is a waste.

I see where you are going with his potential, but like Mike said earlier, he might be mentally weak, lack confidence, has massive dips in concentration and form, and that can't all be down to the system or the fact that he is playing for a crappy club. If we are hellbent on getting rid of Vucinic, and he really wants to go to Inter, then a straight swap might be ok, but any substantial cash outlay is a waste.

That confidence aspect applies to quite a bit of juventus players, who were crap under del neri, and suddenly shone under Conte.
Van Buyten is a confidence player. At Belgium he sucks cause we never have a coach that understands defence. At bayern, they find ways to get the best out of him, and he was pretty good for a while, and is now a solid sub.
