Cannavaro was already a beast @ Parma with Thuram and Buffon forming an incredibly formidable back-line (Benarrivo wasn't too shabby either). Ranocchia was a decent prospect @ Bari. Nothing more, nothing less. Hence, please don't insult the legendary Canna by mentioning him in the same sentence as that cum-stained Merdazzurri dipshit.
Ranocchia has been scouted by the entire EPL and PSG since Bari. He was not just "a decent prospect". If he had been at Allegri's milan instead of inter, he would probably play at chelsea by now.

Cannavaro, is indeed a good comparison. Truely magnificent defender, beeing abused at inter. Comes to juve with a coach who knows how and BOOM, history.
At juve, Ranocchia could talk with Pirlo about how inter has a tendency on misusing incredibly good talent, to see it skyrocket right after they sold it

Berardi doesn't look remotely ready to be here yet imo. Don't let his deceptively good stats fool you. Also, before anybody says we should have him as a back up Winger, he is no Winger. Wouldn't surprise me if he's deployed as an SS soon enough

I think Berardi needs 2 years to consistantly performn at his good level.

Zidane said it very well when he talked about Belfodil getting loaned out.

At his age, playing games is so much more important then training. Same for Berardi. If they cant become a keyplayer at a relegation team, then what do they offer to the titel candidate ?

berardi needs +50 more games to develop and become consistant, to finetune his playstyle and get the trash out of his playing. Then, he'll be ready to rock it at juve

Ranocchia is one of the most physically gifted CBs Italy has produced in quite a while. That's why he's always been coveted. You see a giant of a man that can actually run, turn his hips, jump, and on top of it he can play the ball most of the time. Scouts think to themselves that he has no limitations athletically.

So far he has been a bust. It could be a combination of factors, one of them being that shit team he plays for. Or it could be that he's a mental midget. Who knows. But the potential will always be there.

we should rebuy him and loan him to udinese. they are soo good at developing players, they would develop berardi into a world class player just like they have done with sanchez etc...

When he plays, try to watch him when he comes in to a 1v1 in a small area. It gives an idea of how he'd do in a team that has a great organisation like juve

So are we getting Ranocchia or is that just talk?
Every report about him links him with a move to juventus

if we get ranocchia we should sell ogbonna and use that money on a top leftback like contrao.

is Ranocchia a Juventino like Bonucci?? also regardless of his inert abilities I don't see him complementing any of our current centrebacks, he lacks speed and so does all our current CBs. Juve would have to sit back and play tight with 2 slow CBs in the team imo.

Berardi is just loaned at Sassulo. Loaning him to udinese is a good idea, but only after he is ready to start for udinese, and i think he needs another year for that

Yes of course. He has a huge range in such a small space. It's very hard to get away from him because of his size and his stride. He can take 1 step where the attacker needs 2 or 3.

Chiellini is one of the fastest CB's in the game, and a very good man marker.
Bonucci is a good long passer, and not bad at covering the defence centrally, picking up trough balls and tackle incomming players
Rannocchia is excellent at anticipating both tackles and headers, and excellent at playing the ball out of defence

Yeah, they complement eachother

Yeah, the only issue is his aggression. He marks far to tight, wich gives players the chance to skip to the side and make use of the space around him. As a stopper-esque player, thats a very good quality to have, but as a manmarker, you need to know when to be close, and when to fend off, and controlling the space in your back.

let me remind you that berardi as scored 12 goals and 8 are not penalties. udinese's top scorer is dinatale which is going to retire next season and even him has scored 12 goals. beradi I think is good enough to start for a team like udinese.

Rannocchia is wore than Bonucci, every time i have watched him play he had several errors. It's normal for him to give away penalties and be sent off during games.

NO MORE MONEY ON DEFENDERS PLEASE MAROTTA AND CONTE!

We need creative players with pace to trouble opposition defences.
