That would be Arturo:vidal: and he was anything but a flop:D

Our age is a factor, but I reckon that when Pogba leaves,we are going to reinvest wisely and bring in some quality youngsters and/or a superstar which will bring the average age down....Pretty low chances of us ending up like Inter circa 2010 or Milan 2011 as we have some potentially great youth lined up like Berardi,Coman along with experienced players who I think will probably retire with us like Vidal,Marchisio,Chielleini who will successfully see us through the upcoming transitional phase.

Would you say that Firmino will take us to the next level right now? There are examples of players excelling in Bundesliga and mightily struggling elsewhere(prime example being Kagawa)....The economic state of Juve is such that we can't really afford to throw 20-25 million on a potential superstar and hope he goes on to fulfil his potential because if he does not,we would have a flop sitting on our bench that cost us a whole season's transfer budget.I would rather spend it on someone like Lavezzi(15 million i.e.)who is a proven star and who would be a guarantee to cause problems to oppo with his speed and an eye for goal.
haha i forgot vidal!

well, every dortmund-player who left dortmund disappointed at his next club. look at sahin (real, liverpool), look at kagawa (manU) - yes, even look at götze: his first year at bayern was pretty average. i would say thats the klopp-factor.

DIEGO was one of THE stars of bundesliga back then and much more hyped than firmino, but i think that firmino is better and has the brighter future ahead than diego had.

we should get him and i think that he is going to take us to the next level. in your comparison you have to look at the wages too:

- LAVEZZI: 15 mio. fee + 9 mio. gross wages a year = 42 mio gross total (3-year-contract)
- FIRMINO: 25 mio. fee + 5 mio. gross wages a year = 45 mio. gross total (4-year-contract)

i would take firmino over lavezzi. inter is after him too and maybe they can pull it off after selling guarin + alvarez.

The question is who would take us to the next level? To become a CL contender? Lavezzi? Don't think he's that good and i don't rate him that high. He'd be a great addition for the money situation we find ourselves in. In other words, he's arguably the best we can get from what we can spend, nothing more.

You know who would take us to the next level? Falcao, Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Suarez, Di Maria... So as you can see we CAN'T afford a "player who will take us to the next level". Our choices are; either find a bargain like Tevez and Llorente, if none is found aim for dead weight old and forgotten players no one wants anymore OR take a risk with youngsters, cause maybe one of those youngsters will be the guy who will take us to the next level.

And ffs can people stop overrating Coman. The fucking kid hasn't even played an official game yet and didn't show Messi skills or anything to make people jizz in their pants. Stop that shit.

Just saying Coman is someone who is being praised by pretty much everyone in Juve staff who watch him train everyday and, without overrating him,I think he can develop into a good player.Even if he doesn't,he has pace, which in Serie A is a lethal weapon....Look at freaking Gervinho for god's sake.

And as far as finding bargain youngsters,we are already a year late in case of Firmino, who already had his breakthrough season and thus, there would be a line of EPL,La liga clubs who can pay that sort of money and higher wages.I would have to take your word for Firmino's quality since I haven't seen him outside youtube videos, but right now, anything greater than 20 million and it's out of our price range, which means Goodbye Firmino.

As far as rising to the next level is concerned, you are right. We can't really raise it much with our budget. But we already are at a pretty high level. How many teams across Europe can boast of a midfield like ours?Quality wise,we are in the second tier of European clubs behind Barca,Madrid,Bayern and Chelsea.

What a player like Lavezzi can do is inject some pace to our attacks, which looks slow as fuck on the counter and bring some unpredictability to our oh so predictable attack.Chasing after guys like Firmino can only be achieved with a bigger transfer budget which hopefully next year we will have, when the Adidas deal kicks in...Until then its bargains like Lavezzi for us.

No? Ok next to Bakkali we even had Chadli as a winger. He's a very very very poor man's Pepe. Why would that have been if the boy is so talented? He's not, move on.
Chadli played in the last months for Tottenham and he also works hard for the team, defends if needed, unlike Hazard, Bakkali or Januzaj, that is why he was called up.
Bakkali has talent, he just needs to improve his attitude AND start playing for PSV or whateven club he will end up.
Bakkali?

Fuck no. Disgusting attitude
Attitude can still become good, kid is only 18.

There is attitude and character. You can put a turd in a suit, underneath, its still a turd.

I've never even heard of firmino. Fill me in
Attacking Mid good at pretty much everything. Top finishing/goal scoring decision, strength (he's somewhat tall), excellent passing and positioning, vision, technical skills/flair, pace and good reaction/understanding of the game.

"Out of Brazil's main attacking midfield options (Firmino, Neymar, Coutinho, Oscar, Lucas Moura & Willian) Firmino is higher than all of those players in Goals/Assists, Dribbles per Game, Clear Cut Chances Created per Game and his WhoScored rating is also higher than all of those names suggested"

He's a star in the making. If nothing goes wrong like signing for the wrong club/Injuries/being played at the wrong positions he should reach the level he's aspired to be at, soon.
