Seriously where could Coentrao be heading to if not Spurs ? If Monaco were so keen,i think the deal would've been done already..

No harm in trying a cheeky loan + option to buy deal.Should try that maybe or would he be too expensive of an obligation for us ?

Asamoah is class but Coentrao is the real deal imo.Would be a sick upgrade on that left hand side.

Coentrao is way too overrated over here. Definitely not worth the money Madrid spent on him. I'd be ok with him if we can get him on the cheap, but I don't believe Madrid would allow loan deals, as they'd want to recoup some money after the huge transfer of Bale.

Ogbonna will potentially become a world class defender, and is much more likely to stay here long term. Nationality is one reason, and an added bonus in terms of immediate impact. He's also just as versatile.
He already has the potential to become a world class LB.

I Really can't understand people in here wanting Contreao???? Asamoah is a beast! In my oponion you cant find a more complete player than him!

- Fast
- Strong
- Good both offensive and def!

Only weak point is his crossing. People saying he cant beat his opponent is crazy!! He for sure is a better dribler than Lichtsteiner, and no one seems to have a problem with the point that Lichtsteiner cant drible?

- I prefer Asa in central, but in my oponion you cant find a better LWB that can play both ways than Asa!
Yes, Asamoah is good offensively but he can't cross.

It's part of playing in that position. Him not being a natural attacking dribbler just means he does it more.
That's the silliest I have ever heard when defending him, part of playing in that position? Why don't other wingers with other teams give the ball away as much? Or do you mean specifically that position at Juventus?

Playing in a position where you are asked to take players on or make a final ball is by definition high risk, so he is obviously going to lose the ball more than players who are more likely to pass shorter or across midfield than dribble the ball. If you are asking why he loses it more than other wingers then I already answered, he's obviously not a real attacking winger, his natural game is not dribbling against players.

Besides, those guys lose the ball plenty of times as well, it's just part of their role. For example Luis Suarez was the 5th highest for loss of possession per game in the Premier League. You have to balance it out with the other things a player does.

He's way too predictable though, always doing the same things when he goes to attack. Obviously not his fault, but I think it shows that we should sign another LWB and move him to CM or at least rotate between the positions. He's good enough to challenge Marchisio & Pogba for a spot imo.

no, you're not..he's not gifted with high dribbling skills..but yet you can't have it all on that position so better him than coentrao
You can't be serious, or you're really underrating Coentrao.

I agree, because he is dadically flawless

Then why play a natural CM who clearly has a problem going forward in such a crucial position in our formation?

Yes, one of the most gifted left sided player in the game is not worth 15M, even though we paid €18M for Asamoah. Seems legit.
