that 200 mil is a trivious number anyway, so many things need to be deducted from that..

Looking at previous spending and turnover to expense, is a better way.

i mean, you people know we will end with a balance slightly in the red, see this number and go like "omg we can spend 65 mil"

No we bloody cant.

stop getting so worked up.

last season we were on 200 mil and were 50 mil in the red at the end

this year, wages went up, we are at 280 mil and still about 10 in the red.

Bottomline, is we got 30/40 mil to spend before player sales.

of that number needs asamoah's half and peluso to be deducted
haha u repeated what agnelli said :)

Asamoah and Isla cost around 9M the 1/2 of each.

But the 9M of each of them would be payed in 3yr installments of 6M/year for both.

Have to see if the agreement with Udinese is the co-ownership to take 1 or 2yrs, and if there is agreed value already.

I'd say that at the very least 11M is gone (5M Peluso + 6M 2nd installment 1/2 Isla + Asamoah)

Also Matri was bought with a lot of installments, as well as Litch, Vucinic, Quagliarella, Bonucci, Giovinco...all of them for 3 or 4 yrs. Juve might have to keep paying some part of their fees.

If you assume that around 9/10M of fees for these players will still be payed, than around 20M of the budget is already taken for players Juve has.

So a realistic figure would be 20/30M + player sales exclusively for new signings.

gotta analyse only agnelli's words, forget about income - expenses.

He said that Juventus has around 200M for player/staff salay + transfer fees... and that's about it.

If the installments of signings made in previous years are counted in the current budget, then shouldn't only the installments paid in the coming window be deducted e.g. Higuain for 30m over 5 years would only reduce our budget by 6m (not including wages)

Spot on.

Also needs to take into account that players will be sold in installments.

And I'm not considering installments to be received for players already sold like Elia and Krasic.

no, we've gone over this before. it's easier if you use the total when considering the budget. otherwise, we'd still be considering krasic's payments or whoever's every year and that would just make it that much more complicated to calculate.

Doesn't look like he's even a starter...

De Ceglie for 5-6m?
Oh yeah, him too.

Spot on.

Crap, forgot sales would work like that too.

I agree that's how it should be accounted for. But it can be done either way I think.

Yes it can.

I'm no expert on the subject but when Agnelli talks about amortization he's talking about effective money flow, considering exactly what is spent and received specifically for the season.

Accountability generally is done in the other way, considering money to be received as assets and debts as "passive" (not sure if it's the correct word).

But when u talk about amortization, it's actually exact money flow.

It's impossible to know the exact budget.

But from Agnelli's words, it will be a considerable mercato. We can expect the possibility of Higuain + Jovetic + backup players, and not just one of them both.

If Juve pays 12.5 +12.5M for Higuain and 8 + 8M + players for Jovetic, it seems pretty realistic.

Have you seen Juve's financial statements, ridiculous transparency about player's book values. I doubt any other club releases statements like that.
But one thing is to release how much you spent.

Another is to tell everybody how much you have available to spend.

I haven't found one but it's the right thing to do. Transparency increases the trust of it's shareholders. One funny thing I noticed. Marchisio is valued at 50k:lol:

And as for the spending Agnelli just said we'll have an important budget this year nothing precisely. He was emphasizing how we're 7th or 8th in Europe in terms of spending between amortization and wages. And also the necessity to participate and achieve the same if not better results in CL.

quag : 5
melo : 6
martinez : free agent
pasquato : <2
ziegler : free agent
motta : 2-3

is allready overrating it
I would add couple more names to that list. We'll generate cash on those sales but our income statement won't be influenced as we're likely to record loss on those sales. Their book value is slightly higher. Melo and Quag are both valued at around 8M.

What do you guys think of Carlos Vela and Antoine Griezmann? I think some of the Sociedad players will be moving in the summer after the season they've had and now that they've almost failed to qualify for CL it might be for considerably less. Those two and Inigo Martinez are my favorites from the bunch. @Osman @Salvatore @Mark

I think Diamanti is really underrated in this forum! He is really good!
He is not as good as Zlatan or the kind of player we want to see here but he is better than Giovinco!
He is fast can dribble and use some power in his shooting! For the right amount he would be a good signing
HOWEVER I would like to add that he might be a good addition but I want a far stronger player to be our starter!
I want us to sign a player that will be our natural starter with the others to pick for his partner

About Hernanes - He is a great player no doubt about it! I wouldnt call him underrated as I think that we all rate him highly... However I wouldnt go for him yet as we have others areas to strengthen before our midfield
As for the next following years - He could be a part of our mid which will consist of Hernanes (in the Pirlo role) with Pogba (taking over Marchisio) and Vidal.

I will be content with a mercato of retaining Asamoah and Peluso with letting Isla go where the signing will be a strong CB and a strong Support Striker
I will be estatic with a signing of a strong CB and a superstar forward like Ibrahimovic/Suarez...
