:D

Yeah, no more wish-talk for me tonight. I can only handle so much of it!

I must say I find it a bit amusing how many on the forum believe we actually have a chance of signing Zlatan, though.

Sanchez could be signed, but it's gonna take a lot.

Ibra would have to agree to a 3-4 million per year wage cut to sign for us. Why would he do that?

He earns 9 now right? 4.5 / 5m euros per season seems to be the maximum at which we operate. I can see us stretching to 6 million for a very special player, since Buffon has been on such wages in the past. That will mean a 3 million wage cut for Ibra. I don't see him agreeing to that.

this whole 'fuck ibra' is no different to when we were linked with Tevez, yet it is the same people that moan about the lack of quality upfront

beggars can't be choosers
Bud, it is absolutely pathetic that you just called Juventus beggars. Pull your head out of your ass, we may not be able to compete with the top 5 (+) financially at the moment, but the rebuild is in full effect. We are NOT beggars, ffs, we're CL quarter finalists who are closing in on consecutive scudetti (one undefeated, and potentially one with the distinction of having beat EVERY club in the league during the course of the title).

I don't want Ibra because of the objectionable behaviour that I've seen from him over many years; shooting off his mouth, kicking teammates in practice, etc., etc. I think the guy is a mercenary asshole, with next to zero sporting loyalties, and I don't want him on my team. While he's very clearly one of the best players in the world, sorry, I hope he never pulls our jersey over his head again.

As for Tevez, while I wasn't involved in whatever conversations you're referencing here, a couple of years ago I would have been leery about signing him for big money - considering he seemed to be on a mission to force his way out of Man City, and return home for his footy. I can understand why some wouldn't have been exactly thrilled about us laying out that type of cash for a player with those types of questions surrounding them.

Anybody not wanting Ibra here is a fool. He's world class.
Considering you posted pretty much directly under me, and called me a fool - Go fuck yourself, Nick. :p

I'm not going to start calling you names, bringing up Zarate's or ladyboys, or any of that... just a simple fak-off.

I don't want Ibra here because he's a Class-A Douchebag. Also, ideally I'd like our next big signing in attack to be a player that this club can grow with.

I think we have a bigger shot of signing Ibra than we do Sanchez.

Wait, you're kidding, right?

No, I'm absolutely serious. There are just more indicators that the move is "likely" than with the Sanchez deal. Just to put it into perspective, I think we have a 1% chance of signing Sanchez and about 3% of signing Ibra - I doubt either one is going to happen.

Ahhh... 1% & 3%... I see :D

I'm seeing a Goal.com article by fucking Agresti, and an FI article where Raiola is quoted as saying that 'Zlatan is happy at PSG, and PSG are happy with Zlatan', as well as Raiola saying that he thinks it's almost impossible for Zlatan to return to Italy (right now)... and somehow, I'm the fool. :D

The player has a very big contract, and PSG have built their project with him at the centre of it. They just hit the CLQF, they're going to win the domestic championship... why would they sell Ibra? Zlatan would absolutely have to force his way out of there after one season, and I absolutely do not see why that would happen at this point. It doesn't make sense, this is just typical bullshit speak from Raiola, and the media hyping up this nonsense as we approach silly season.

On the other hand, I could see the Sanchez deal happening. Beppe was interested in him before he transferred, minutes are down, struggling at Barca, they'll want to spend this mercato for the fans (always do) which likely means even less space for Sanchez... plus even Barca needs to pay attention to finances...

Then there's the Chile connection, the fact that Juve are an attractive landing spot, Sanchez is familiar with Italy... I gotta say, I could actually see this move coming off.

Im sorry but how can you not want Ibra back? They guy would score a shit ton of goals here. Plus, seeing him and Chiellini celebrate with each other after a goal would be pretty funny.

I would prefer watching Chiello repeatedly plant Zlatan firmly on his ass, as tends to happen whenever Ibra faces Juve, but to each his own. :D

I just think that despite all his class - in terms of his football ability - that he's relatively classless, as an individual. From a personal standpoint, when it comes to class, humility, loyalty, focus on team, etc., this guy is basically the Anti-Ale, in my book.

When I start to pour over the logistics of a move like this (In terms of fee/wages/age/locker room influence... all of that before we consider that PSG isn't going to let him go), it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Personally, I'd be going in another direction... but Marotta said that we shouldn't expect any huge purchases this summer, so clearly Ibra is on his way to Juventuz.

:p

Actually you are talking about two different things!
Ibra earns 9 net while Buffon earned 6 Brut
Someone here said Ibra earns 12 Brut.
I can see Ibra getting an 8m contract but nothing more than that.
Anyway the result remains the same!
He wont take a pay cut of 4M to come here!
