4-5 sides!?!?!?

This discussion is about whether Barca or Bayern are the best. There's no other then the remaining 4 teams in the CL who you can compare to Bayern. No English teams come close.
Out of those 4 teams right now Barca, Bayern, Real, Dortmund.

4-5 sides if you look way back in the history. I meant this as a notion of the the best club in the world.

I agree they are beatable side now. Milan beat them in the first leg and with a bit more luck they could have been eliminated. All I'm saying Bayern have not been the best European side recently and even if I had to look a way back I would still put 4-5 clubs in front of them.
1. Barca
2. Bayern (or RM)
3. Madrid (or Bayern)

4, 5, 6, 7 (not sure of order... Juve, Man Utd, Dortmund, PSG).

also in my humble opinion ferdinand has been playing better than vidic this season
Nemanja Vidic on his days are easily in top 3 defender in the world. Now because of age and injuries it's normal that his not even in the top 10 anymore.

U missed one WC defender already in such an early age: Raphael Varane

Play against Barca, scored in both leg and no foul recorded. Can surpassed Pepe for a starting berth at Real Madrid in just 19 yrs old! (not many players could have a starting place in RM in such young age). Recently outclassed Drogba during Gala CL match and after the match Drogba said to the media that Varane is the best defender he has been playing against and did not believe he's just 19.

Just admitted it, Varane is WC level. From ur top 10 list, I can easily said he is already better than Barza (same anticipation/concentration but more pacey and stronger in the air), Pepe (his form make Mou benched Pepe, no reason needed), Pique (Never in my mind that Pique is WC, he's just lucky to play in such a legendary squad filled with Xavi, Messi, Iniesta etc playing in the same team), Vidic (age and injury prone)

Juventus will win the CL in 2015, 2018, and 2023. May we all live to see this :D
We didn't win one in 10 years pre calciopoli. And we won't win one in the next. It'll be scattered between the EPL, Bundesliga, & that Other league that only 2 clubs win year in year out, and I'm not talking bout the SPL ;)

Edit: before anyone goes all Colombo on my ass. I know we win it in 1996. But you know what I'm getting at.

So 3 CL in the next 10 years. Not bad. I would probably got a heart attack as there would be some cracking games for sure.
Considering our history in that particular competition, that would be a magnificent return  :D

I just hope we reach 5 CL titles before my 50'th birthday :scared:

I know Man. It's called the wishlist thread. Don't go killing my hopes a la Zacheryah like that :sigh: :depressed:

I have a feeling that in 3-5 years we will be tremendously competitive, and might be as dominant as Barca/Madrid/Bayern, regularly reaching the semis, and possibly winning 2-3 titles along the way. Our luck is due to change in this cursed competition  :D

2018-2023 - five years without a cl title? we could win another one in 2020 or 2021
Don't be greedy :p

I agree with Varane being op 10 already. But i'd take Vidc in the top3 anytime. He played 16 matches in the Premier league (15 starts) and they had 9 clean sheets, and 5 times conceeded only one goal. So, I'd take 32 years old Vidic any time over the likes of Pique, Pepe, Ramos etc.

2 cl in the next five years (2015 and 17 or 18) would be awesome. in the last 15 years only barca, milan and real did won 2 or more in 5 years
I'd be happy with 2 in the next 15 years tbh :D

united has played 16 matches without vidic this season and has conceeded 23 goals with only 3 clean sheets. with vidic in the team they conceeded 10 goals in 16 matches with 8 clean sheets.

I realy hope Diamanti won't come here. He's 30 already and what would he add to our attack? If we can't improve our attack majorly with players like Sanchez or Suarez than why should we waste more money on mediocre players?
if Diamanti comes, sure Conte will use 3-5-1-1 very often, and he will be the key for that formation. IMO

I prefer an AMF (trequartista) over a striker for next season, because our current problem is when Pirlo is closed (it happened in B.Munich game), most of our player is confused and really cant play our usual football. maybe with help of a creative AMF we can solve this problem. I think that's why there's a news that we want Diamanti.

If the plan is 351 for the next season with AMF then why not someone better than Diamanti. There are better attacking mids out there and certainly younger one. We could splash 20-25m if that's the case.
Something like this for the next season

Buffon
Barza-Bonucci-Chiellini
Licht( Isla )-Vidal-Pirlo( Pogba )-Marchisio-Asa
Isco
Llorente

Still I would prefer 451 or 4321
Buffon
Licht-Barza-Chiellini-Asamoah
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
Isco Vucinic
LLorente

I think Asa can succeed as a LB.
