Barza for me, save the Bayern games, but Bonnucci was just as bad if not worse. The latter is an error prone defender no doubt, and if we ever switched to the four man defense, I'm pretty sure he'll be the one getting benched. That said, certainly wouldn't sell him or anything of the sort. Grown leaps and bounds since his season under Del Neri.

I think Bonucci edges it for being the one that equalised against Shakhtar and having a great second game against them too. And I do think that he was better than the other two against Bayern.
Being a worse defender than Chiellini and Barzagli isn't a problem, he's predictably developed into a more commanding centre back. I think the gripe with the 3-5-2 contributes to this. Honestly, we're not going to find a better defender at his age. Anyone that says Hummels can fuck off.

Bale would cost more (in fact close to double) than all 3 combined. We could hypothetically get all 3, but realistically it might be difficult as we'd have to sell one of Quag/Matri, and Giovinco, and I don't see that happening.
Llorente, Sanchez, Vucinic, Matri, and Muriel would be one heck of a forward line tho.
I say get an option on Muriel for 2014. Pay for his 1/2, keep him @ Udinese for another season, and then he is ready for us.

Sanchez and someone like Muriel are both relatively young and with potential and room for improvement. I am all for paying for dynamic players in attack, who possess pace and trickery, and with room for improvement.

If we had better scouting last few years instead spending money on crap players we would already be cl contenders. look at porto, benfica. they never spent more than 10M on a player and they reach the cl knock-out stage almost every year. south america (not just brazil and argentina but other countries too) always had and will always have talented strikers and wingers, and the players that we have there are average not only in cl but even in italy. so the main thing we need is not a player of 30-40M but better scouting system.
