For me Diamanti is exactly the same situation as Peluso. Both are a little above average but nothing special. I agree on your point but bringing him in would be expensive still and it's not like he would have any chance in the world remaining in the Azzurri for world cup 2014 should he join us and warm the bench right up until the world cup

Yes, but he is not needed. Let's not waste money on the Diamantis of this world, and focus on buying someone who can actually make a difference, not just another addition to the squad.

Candreva is a bit more of a worker with a bit of skill and a shot. Actually I wouldn't have minded him as a squad player here.

What would Dia's price be though? For 10-12m, it's a pretty good addition considering we don't have anyone that's a creative AM/WingForward (except Giac). As for playing time, he probably would've had all of Giovincos/Giacs/Isla's minutes combined.
