Neither we can rely on Llorente alone,(injuries suspensions could always happen) it would be wiser to see if he flops or not before getting another expensive forward.
If he flops and we invest 30mil lets sat on Alexis, we will have 3 great SSs (Sancthez, Vucinic, Giovinco) and again a compromised CF starter.
And it will be so much harder to raise another 30mil to get yet another forward next year...

A CF would bring a lesser risk, as in the worst case scenario, we will be having two 3 freat forwards and one flop, but one of those 3 will be a CF, so we can deploy a great CF+SS duo for most of the matches.

Suarez would be a great hybrid solution though, as he can both create and kill.
Its amazing how the fapteam is rating sanchez like he played at counter attacking udinese, and totally forget how he is beeing a failure at offensive pressing barcelona.

now, are we a counterattacking team, or offensive and pressing ?

EXACTLY, gtfo with sanchez

jesus $#@!ing christ what abomination is this

asamoah, is not a fullback
robben, is injuryprone beyond belief, would cost us money beyond comprehending, and will not want to earn less at bayern. also bayeren is much higher reputation at us.
Sanchez ? barcelona will not sell under 30 mil and we arent looking for a wide attacker. he's also been a big dissapointment at an offensive team good at pressing, wich technically is also what we do. Sanchez would be a horrible signing

Jovetic, if we sign him, big if, our entire summer budged is gone.

Kolarov ? better then asamoah ? seriously get the $#@! out
Calm down..
Asamoah was a cm back in Udinese, he still playes as LM in Juve. He has all the qualties required to play as a LB.
About Sanchez- Barcelona wants to sell him and his ability lately can get us a big discount. No team would buy him for over 25M.
And if we change to 4-3-3, he'll fit us perfectly. If we stay with 3-5-2, he can still fit us but there few players I would buy before him.
Jovetic will cost 30M. MAX MAX MAX 35. do you really believe that's our budget? really?

Paying 30 million euros for Jovetic

20 million euros is the maximum I'd spend on him.
Agree with this completely. Fiorentina seems to value him at 30-35. I'd take him for 15-20.

Side note. How much do people think Jackson Martinez would cost? Dude is a beast. 23 goals in 26 games in all competitions for Porto so far.

i thought lewandowski is bayern bound?

if that is the case i find it hard to see how Guardiola will accomodate lewandowski, Gomez and Mandzukic, though i think Gomez will leave i defo prefer Mandzukic

I just can't see Dortmund selling Lewandowski to Bayern. And it seems if the Reds miss out on both UCL and Europa which is likely, Suarez will demand a transfer. Guardiola will have lots to spend and seems to like Suarez. Would they really bring in both? That would be crazy. I'd like us to try to get Lewandowski. Only 24 isn't he? So many good years left.

well i also think suarez would most likely join bayern if he was to leave, i don't buy this bs about him staying regardless, the way he left gronningen and ajax for a better move when the opportunity came up indicates he's an opportunity seeker. as for lewandowski i don't think the management will bring in another forward in the summer except those we already co own/loaned out

20-25m

Love a bit of Jackson though, and his Colombian buddy. We already got Llorente though!

A guy who wouldn't want us to buy JoJo, but wants another player called Martinez. Fuck me sideways, now I've heard it all.

How much better do you think Llorente is than Matri? He scored 18 in 43, 23 in 51, 19 in 41, 29 in 53 his last 4 seasons... While playing as the focal point of the Bilbao attack. The year Matri came here from Cagliari he scored 20 in 39. Last year he only had 10 in 33, but that is misleading as a lot of these games he was on as a late game sub, or taken off quite early. He lost confidence due to this. I suppose I think Llorente is a 20-25 striker if he plays 45-50 in all comps. And Matri is likely 18-22 if he played 45-50 in all comps.

Not that Martinez! God, what a debacle. Jackson Martinez is a beast. Jorge Martinez never was. He had 22 goals in 86 for Catania before we bought him.

Jackson Martinez has 23 goals in 26 appearances for Porto, including 3 in 6 in the UCL.

Llorente gives a presence in the box and is very good at headers. He also links very well with other players. He will be a good striker for us and Matri will be a good sub for him.

They are different types of strikers.

I agree with that. I like the idea of a guy who can turn crosses in a little more regularly. Now if only Licht and Asamoah could figure out that accuracy thing...

I suppose the other thing is Llorente will get far better service here than he ever did at Bilbao. What with Pirlo and Vucinic to play alongside.

That's why we'll need Isla to hit his Udinese form next season.

This is what I wanted to write.

We need someone dominating in the air. Matri is not strong enough to win most of his aerial duels.
