I like Melo to be honest. I think he is a good player and while he can be nuts at times he always fought for us when he played for us. Also I like how he does not trash Juventus in the media like a lot of ex players who are not wanted by their clubs have done in the past (like Giovinco when he was loaned out). I think Melo is a good enough player to play for many big clubs especially when you consider players like Barry, Carrick and Obi Mikel get lots of playing time on big teams as CM. If we do end up selling a CM I would be 100% for not buying a replacement and just extending Melo's deal on reduced wages.

If for example we sold Marchisio to get Jovetic and Higuain then I would want to keep Melo as a back up for Pogba and Vidal. Thank god we have so many good CM... we are pretty stacked with Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah and Melo at the club. I love Marchisio but it might make sense to sacrifice a top mid to get a top forward as it would have little impact on the midfield but would be a huge improvement in attack.

Marotta came out and said yesterday that we won't be selling any of our key players. Marchisio is a key player for us.

I was just sharing the story, I don't believe its true at all.

We only need one of Tevez, Higuain or Jovetic and we're set. No need to weaken our world-class midfield, the core of our team, to bring in two forwards.

True. Imagine how good Manchester United would be if they trusted Pogba and gave him the contract he wanted. Now they will have to spend a fortune on transfer and wages to get a player anywhere near Pogba's level. They over pay pretty much everyone at their club yet would not give him a deal that we managed to give him haha. I think Carrick makes something like 6-10 times more in wages then what we currently pay Pogba.

yeah. he can play of the wing as well as centrally. he even scored some few nice goals from the winger position but ronaldo was usually playing there.

yeah. u can't use asamoah or litchsteinser as attacking wings.
he's not a winger, he's wasted on the wing, and we would be better off actually buying a proper winger if you propose this idea
