From what I've seen of Hernandez, I would agree with Red. I would need to see a lot more continuity and production out of him to be able to make an insightful prediction about how he'll turn out. Obviously has some quality, though.

I've seen much more of Jovetic over the years, and I do think that he can be a solid contributor when it comes to leadership. With guys like Buffon, Pirlo, Chiello, Marchisio, and others, we wouldn't need him to step into a primary leadership role, either - he can just be another guy who adds to those qualities in the locker room.

I do think that he can become a superstar. I won't say that he can be like ADP, that would be sacrilege at this point, but I think he is very, very talented - and I do think he has a lot of the same characteristics in his game (also, both had knee injuries, and have a similar 'weakness', really: pace isn't their strength).

I wouldn't worry too much about Jovetic going the route of Giovinco, either. Seba's physicality imposes certain restrictions on his game that Jovetic will never have to deal with on a day to day basis. There are also environmental factors at the club which seem to stress Giovinco out quite a bit; probably just a result of the mess he experienced the first time he was here, and the fact that he's Juventino and just wants to help the club so much.

The environment at Fiorentina is much different, but Jovetic has performed well in limited European action, he's been a mainstay for his NT, and I think he could handle the pressure that would come with joining a big club like Juve.

Jovetic is a few levels ahead of Giovinco in my opinion, and I think he'd be worth the 25-30M investment.
Wow thanks for your analysis which is quite complete.
Yes you're right, physically Jojo and Gio are not the same at all. If Conte wants him this guy must have the qualities needed for Juve.
Like you I think that Gio has some "mental" issues. His blood is bianconero and he wants to do things well but too much stress. At Parma there was not this problem because much less pressure.
The games I saw with Jojo makes me think that he could become a big star too, but I hope he won't be a player like Podolski who experiences big difficulties to be consistent.

For Hernandez I forgot that he has been injured but yesterday he showed some good things IMO. Let's see what he can do if he is not (seriously) injured anymore.

I don't really know this Ljajic guy. How good is he in reality ? I saw he scored something like 5 goals in 5 games, but how do you rate him?
and one other question about Bebeto's son ? Did he sign for us or not ? I saw few articles saying yes, and some saying no... So ?
Ljajic is pretty good, and would definitely count him as out 5th striker, or maybe even 2nd SS. His came wouldn't stunt the comming of a bigger name. I've been saying since Di Marzio linked him with us that would be a good signing.

Ibrahimovic -20M€
Ljajic ~10M€

:tuttosport:

About Bebeto's song, aparently we want to sign him for about 1.5M$ but Flamengo doesn't wants to sell him for less than 2M$, 'cause that was the deal that we agreed with them in January.

Would somebody here like the come of Chicharito? :D he may not be a SS but is a good poacher, doesn't has the same physical characteristics as Llorente.
Don't know how much he would cost, but apparently he wants to leave Utd. due to lack of playing time.

Or Carlos Vela :klin: Arsenal will probably re-buy him and want to sell him again to cash with him

So it should be a done almost done, 0.5M$ shouldn't be a big problem I think.

For the offensive line why not, Ljajic can't be more useless than Bendtner or Anelka... So if we can sign him for a reasonable amount, let's do it.

Carlos Vela... I used to like this guy. Very talented but definitely not made for English football.

Italian media says Juve will have 20M as the initial budget to invest.

What I think will happen is... we'll sell Quags (5/7M) + Matri (9/10M) and keep Vucinic and Giovinco.

Plus a Melo loan (1/2M), De Ceglie sold on co-own (2/3M). Maybe Isla will be sold... but I think that's going to be about it. Around additional 20M from sales.

So it makes a budget of 40M. Peluso will be bought (4M)... Also Berardi (4M co-own)

So we'll have around 30M left for Higuain/Sanchez/Ibra/Jovetic.

Look.

Fvck all this talking craap. Can someone make a list of players were looking at from highest to lowest in price value followed by their current wages. Then we can pick off economically and all pretend we're Beppe.

Crack on.

The thing is that we don't want to pay the 0.5M$ cause his contract expires in a year or so
And he will develope very well if he gets enough playing time ;)

Carlos is having a second magnificent season with Real Sociedad, the past one was great too, Spanish football have suited him very well since his early days. I wonder if he could do well here too. There were some rumours about him and Roma but nothing really.

[Player, transfer fee, wages]

1) Suarez 40M, 7.5M/year

2) Di Maria 30M, 3M/year

3) Jovetic 25-30M, 2.5M/year

4) Higuain 25M-30M, 3.5M/year

5) Robben 20M, 5.5M/year

6) Nani 15-20M, 5.5M/year

7) Ibrahimovic 15M, 12-14M/year

Sound about right?

And before everyone starts getting on my back on the transfer fees, those are the rumoured prices, not what I personally think they're worth.

I think with a 40M budget this mercato is quite realistic:

- Peluso (4M)
- Berardi (4M co-own, plays next season for Sassuolo)
- Diamanti (6M)
- Poli (5M co-own)
- Ibra (10M)
- Muriel (8M co-own plays at Juve next season)
- CB on a free (e.g. Diakite)

I think that's about it. If Conte wants to play 433 next season, we'd have Giovinco/Vucinic/Diamanti/Giaccherini for the left and Pepe/Isla/Muriel for the right.

------------------------------Buffon--------------------------
------------------------(Storari)(Rubinho)-------------------
---------Barzagli---------Bonucci-------------Chiello---------
----(Diakite/Caceres)---(Marrone)-------(Peluso/Caceres)-----
Litch----------------------Pirlo----------------Asamoah-----------
(Padoin)-----------------(Poli)----------------(Peluso)---------
--------------Vidal-------------------Marchisio------------------
-----------(Diamanti)---------------(Pogba)--------------------
-------------------------Ibra-------------------------------------
--------------------(Muriel/Giovinco)---------------------------------
-----------------------Llorente-----------------------------------
-----------------------(Vucinic)-----------------------------------

Giaccherini, Pepe, Isla, as winger options for a 433 switch during the game

I think that's a good and very realistic mercato. Maybe it's not this time we'd get a young ace as Suarez or Higuain. But Ibra and Llorente would definitely change the picture.

I think we will find this agreement with his current club. 0.5M is not a big deal so it would be a shame to fail a potential good player for this.
About Vela yes, Spanish football is made for him apparently. He played very well, he is at his real level with Sociedad.
But would Serie suits him...? That's the question. But it's a bet to risk maybe. He could be a very good upgrade IMO, even if he is not a "big name".

What an efficiency ! The wages for Ibra are the ones you wrote, but it's because of french rules I think, so IMO there is a little bias there.
Ig n your list we could have two of these guys, we would definitely be very dangerous on european stage

Think you're pretty much spot on with those transfer fees. Think Di Maria is slightly over priced a tad.

DI Maria overpriced ?
Young, very very very talented, skill player, playing for Madrid, with a contract until 2016 I guess... No I don't think he's overpriced. 25-30M, he worths it

Say its either up to Higuain, Jovetic or Ibra: (Ibra on 7M wages, Higuain on 4.5M, Jovetic on 3.5M)

Ibra: 15M tansfer fee + 3 years x 7M = 36M
Higuain: 25M transfer fee + 4 years x 4.5M = 43M
Jovetic: 25-30M transfer fee + 4 years x 3.5 = 39M-44M

Ibra would actually be the cheapest, but there's no way we'll get him at 7M. :D

I don't really know if Serie A would suit him but he seems to still be on the right age to take a big step forward in his career, in Arsenal he never really had that much of an oportunity tbh, looks like he already made up his mind and is ready to focus just on football.

Would love to see a former Chivas player wearing Juve's jersey :touched:
