I wouldn't be so sure. All the clubs are fired by the FFP rules and if UEFA intervenes decisively nobody would be willing to go wild with wages anymore. A club would be willing to pay if they are certain what a player brings to the table on a consistent basis. No bigger teams would get Llorente as a starter.
It's not as if FFP made a difference last mercato. Why would it suddenly do so next year? No reason te believe we'd suddenly be able to compete. Barcelona, City, PSG and others would gladly welcome him.

As if having great players ever stopped those teams from buying more... We heard that before with Aguero and afterwards with Dzeko... If those teamq mix up, we don't stand a chance. It's just reality.
For instance Barca simply does not have the type of striker that Llorente is. They could easily persuade him.
