If Destro has a good season he's going to cost at least 25m to get from Roma.
He looks a good prospect and could be the next big thing. I've heard some supporters call for Ciro Immobile to be brought back. What do you guys make of him and Manolo Gabbiadini?

If Destro has a good season, Osvaldo might be available for a transfer :tuttosport:
lol.

Mutu was out of contract we should have given him atleast a look in:stuckup:
We didn't have enough coke to pay him in. However, Marotta could've gone with the loan with an option to snort deal ;)

Call me cheap bastard, but I don't think you necessarily have to make these huge investments. Not even as a top club. They guarantee nothing and bring huge risks with them I personally wouldn't like to make in most cases.

I like smart deals such as the Vidal one, where you clearly get a good player for a reasonable price. The Martinez deal Bayern pulled, for example, was cack. We have to get Falcao before he goes to Porto, Cavani before making the Napoli move etc.

I think he's a diamond in the rough. I guess time will tell.
You are a classy guy. I dare not call you cheap ;)

As for the spending bit, I didn't say we have to necessarily go all apeshit like PSG, City, Chelsea, or Madrid. Buy a really proven WC player every 3 years ;)

Getting the Cavanis, JoJos, and Falcaos before they become stars has always been a problem. I guess our scouting network isn't as good as we'd like to think it is. I wonder how Barca, United, and Udinese do it :boh:

I like Destro a lot.

Roma overpiad for him, but they have got themselves a very good player and one that could go one to be great.

I really haven't see very much of either Immobile or Gabbiadini, so can't really comment.

Trequartista seems pretty sure about Immobile being good, though, and the two of us tend to agree when it comes to strikers so I'm interested to see what he does this season.

Scouting is only one bit of it.

I tend to assume that all major clubs are pretty much aware of what is going on in all the major breeding grounds of footballing talent these days.

It's taking the step from that to actually being willing to trust your scouts, make the investment, develop the player, etc. that very few clubs are able/willing to do.

Juve are moving towards this policy already with the number of youngsters they seem to be hoovering up.

Just have to wait and see if any of them turn out to be any good and then whether Juve are able to nurture that talent properly.

Immobile is similar to Destro, except that he's better with the ball and in the link up play. Ciro knows how to position himself quite well, but perhaps not as well as Destro. I think Immobile will have a better season than Destro.

I don't rate Gabbiadini at all, I think he's going to be mediocre.

if he is worth it, i honestly wouldnt mind at all

If the quality is the same, the italian player is allways better for us.

Well B81, you seriously do not want to know the sick amouth of young players fartcelona gets each year, and then dumps then if they arent up to the task.

not a question of good scouting, they just buy the lot if it has a possibility to fit in

man utd is good in scouting tbh, having the same coach for ages also helps. sadly, they also usually rip of teams by giving them a contract at an age their owners cant due to ristrictions of their country, like with guiseppe rossi

I agree when you say they're similar, but I think it's the other way around. Destro is better with the ball and Immobile is better in front of goal (more power). Although, he did have quite some sitters last year with Pescara.

Gabbiadini is different. Not as powerful or technically advanced as these two, but I think he has that instinct you want on a striker. Positionally and working inside the penalty area, I think he's better than the other two. Don't think he suits Juve's 3-5-2 anyway, unlike Immobile who should probably be a part of the squad right now, instead of Bendtner.
