Leo Bonatini is widely regarded as one of Cruzeiro's top young promising players. Cruzeiro usually brings up a lot of talented players, such as Ronaldo Fenomeno, Maicon, Luisão of Benfica, and others. Their youth teams are always very strong.
I've seen him play a little in World U-17 championship last year (or South American Championship, can't remember). Bonatini at first was not in the first team, but always the first to come in. He eventually took the starting spot from one of the forwards in 4 finals. He banged a few goals in the tournament.
The kid is reasonably tall (around 1.83cm I'd say), thin, pretty quick, have a knack for scoring goals. Good finisher. I haven't seen any dribbling skills. Classic forward.
I'd say it's a decent gamble. I don't see WC potential in him from the little I've seen, but he can become a good/very good player.
