Leo Bonatini is widely regarded as one of Cruzeiro's top young promising players. Cruzeiro usually brings up a lot of talented players, such as Ronaldo Fenomeno, Maicon, Luisão of Benfica, and others. Their youth teams are always very strong.

I've seen him play a little in World U-17 championship last year (or South American Championship, can't remember). Bonatini at first was not in the first team, but always the first to come in. He eventually took the starting spot from one of the forwards in 4 finals. He banged a few goals in the tournament.

The kid is reasonably tall (around 1.83cm I'd say), thin, pretty quick, have a knack for scoring goals. Good finisher. I haven't seen any dribbling skills. Classic forward.

I'd say it's a decent gamble. I don't see WC potential in him from the little I've seen, but he can become a good/very good player.

Regarding Verratti, according to Gazzetta it's a done deal: he's off to PSG and should sign the contract in the next days.

About Armero - if it's cheap loan I wouldn't mind. But I don't see him as the solution for the LW spot. He played for 2 years in Brazil, mainly as a left back. And even though it's a different position, it was pretty clear to me that he's a one-sided player: runs and works like hell but that's it.

Tecnically and mentally he's very limited IMO. But for cheap, on a loan, I wouldn't mind.

Although I am happy with the signings we have made so far I am very worried about how many they are. I am worried that they are too many and hat the winning mentality our squad had last season might be lost in the heavy traffic of players we will have. I dont want the starting eleven to change much. It would be bad if we are rebuilding from scratch again. I trust Conte though and I hope he knows what he is doing with that many new faces.

Buffon
Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini
Isla-Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio-Armero
Dzeko-Vucinic

That's one fast, hard-working, creative and efficient lineup.

Fast wings.
Hardworking midfield (like REALLY hard-working minus Pirlo).
Vucinic/Giovinco for the creativity/assists.
Dzeko to score 30+

Storari
Licht-Caceres-Lucio
Pepe-Marrone-Asamoah-De Ceglie
Giovinco
Matri-Gababobaboinini

That depth is cray ya'all.
Is that supposed to be Gabbiadini?

He'll be off to Bologona.

Our starting eleven will not change that much. RWB, LWB and a top striker will be new players. Right now, we have only Isla starting.

We sent him to Sassuolo before.

He's off to Parma now.

I don't want to get murdered for this question, but I'll ask it anyways:

Do you guys think Giovinco can knock out Vucinic for a starting position in a 3-5-2.

I think so. I think people forget too quickly how frustrating Vucinic sometimes was last season. This time we have someone proper to go on the field for him.

We shall see. :klin:

if we don't get a striker he will play with vucinic , if we get a proper striker there is a chance he might if we get a ss type like jojo i think that vucinic will play the striker role and jojo will be the second striker with giovinco at bench

I will be willing to bet with anyone here that if we dont sign an SS, and its between Giovinco and Vuci, that the former will bench the latter within half of the season played.
