This is the problem with Italy and Serie A in general... only short-term thinking and not much long term planning. Has there even been a long term plan in the country since Julius Caesar kicked the bucket? If Inter or any other Italian club is stupid enough to throw away the EL, it affects their own chances of ever seeing that 4th qualifying spot for the CL.
