Scholes was as good as all of them in his prime, anti-English specs on here !

Scholes won the lot and was the best midfielder in that United team.....who had the best midfield in World Football at that time.

He is quite decent defensively, primarly knows well when time to stay back or go forward, discplined, even more so in Barca where he plays more conservative because the other flank has ze gunho Simba.
Thats good to hear :) I'd love to have him here for sure then.

Seeing De Ceglie improved and how our defense conceded the least goals this season, I personally doubt we'll be going after a LB this summer. I think Conte will keep playing him.
Ok maybe no Lb,how bout LWB, we are not keeping Esti right? so I think someone who can be the first choice with Giach as backup is needed..
We need a backup especially since we dont know when PDC will get injured, and no, Giach is a terrible fullback and not at his best in LWB too. We need to have proper players so Giach can focus in his primary duty.

Scholes was better then Xavi? Come the fuck one, the ginger was absolute class player, but not even comparable to Xavi acheivements as a player (talking about an alltime level playmaker in what he has proved/acheived), regardless of how much one dislikes Xavi.

scholes had a better long passing game, better tackler and shooter. xavi better short passing and tecnique. i would prefer scholes for his all round game.

GTFO you bonehead.you don't know nothing about football.go burn yourself.

I'm not fan of Scholes but he was definitely WC and was better than Xavi.

and how old are you ? 12?13?
You, dear sir, are a cnut monkey.

Also, I'm 31. My age does not have anything to do with anything. You're still a cnut monkey for reasons that go beyond Paul Scholes.

Are you for real fredrik, honestly? If you are in the age to have seen both their careers since the start like me, its absolutely baffling to say Scholes is better.

Btw, Scholes was an AWFUL tackler, one of his main weak points and his way to show how "english" he was, by playing aggressive just because its ingrained to his footie culture, despite being awful at it and kept getting red cards unnecessarily, should focused more on what he did best, pass and blast the goal to smitherins.

Btw, Only things Scholes has over Xavi is shooting and off the ball movement offensively in finding space around the box.

Best midfield? In the world? Which world?

Madrid, Bayern, Barcelona have systematically humped United's midfield for as far back as I can remember.

Are we really after balotelli?

:tuttosport:
Eh firstly, he doesn't fit the profile personality-wise as Marotta has expressed. Secondly it seems that Mancini has some sort of connection to Balotelli and now he looks like he's improving I don't think he will want to let him go. Thirdly, our fans racially abused Balotelli and he won't want to come to Juve.

As for Tevez :tuttosport: he would be my pick maybe over every option out there he is just a beast. He has it all and would be perfect for this Juve.

I agree with the above, except off the ball movement. Xavi is absolutely topping that one.

Notice I said off the ball movement offensively around the box, thats how Scholes scored alot, he just knew which space to exploit perfectly around there, especially loose balls. Xavi in overall is one of the most intelligent players I seen off the ball, so not talking in overall.

On the other hand he was physically abused by Materazzi and yet he did not mind going back to Inter...

I think it has more to do with the way he strikes the ball. He is almost always looking for absolute technique, while Scholes had this roughness and power in his shots. If Xavi had similar 'venom' in his strike he'd be easily a 15 goal per season player at barca atm.

The only thing Scholes is really better at is passing the ball to the opposition team. That's not a slur against Ginger though, because he's not a bad passer of that round thing we call a soccer ball.

By the way, Scholes better at tackling? Fuck me, now I've heard it all. :pepedinho:
