lw91 is proposing that we hange two of the most important players from last season in the startin XI. Pepe and Vucinic in the 4-3-3 were so good that its going to be damn near impossible to push them out of the first eleven. Giovinco is a bench/small game/rotation player for the LW/RW/SS (in the 3-5-2) nothing more. His fanbitches better get that in their heads or rivers of tears are going to follow when they see him getting less playing time than Elia had this season.
Player: Sebastian Giovinco / Mirko Vucinic
games: 36 / 32
Goals: 15 / 8
Assists: 11 / 8
Shots: 139 / 102

It's obvious to anyone. Giovinco had a better season then Vucinic.

But this is not the thing. Nizzypuff argues that he would rather field Simone Pepe then Mauricio Isla. Isla, a player who was tracked by top clubs from England. Isla is a class player. He is so good, that once you've seen him in that lineup I posted you'll instantly regret you put your money on Pepe. I am a big fan of Pepe myself but his performances should be considered the fact that he has been used as substitute coming on late in the match. And arguing that Giovinco will have less games than Elia is such a joke!! Giovinco is in the 2011/2012 Serie A team of the season! Fkn Merda wanted him!? But it's actually not that simple. It's not whether you'd play one or the other, it's the tactics. The lineup we are talking about has a point of origin in Luis Suarez, whom that post was a response to. Giovinco + Suarez + Isla would be lethal and the best possible forward lineup one could imagine us to field in the Serie A. If you look at the tactical side of it. Isla's workrate to cover for Giovinco's creative freedom and Suarez' workrate combined would be killer! We'll have tons of games next season and ofc Vucinic will probably start ahead of Giovinco in the pecking order but Giovinco will prove what player he's become and be used in almost every single Serie A game next season while Mirko will be our CL striker..
Even an unrealistic Vucinic+Cavani+Pepe wouldn't beat it!!!!

Vucinic won the Serie A and was only second to Pirlo in terms of contribution on the field, especially when you look at the crucial timing of his brilliance. Giovinco can go fuck himself, he'll never have a season as good as Vucinic had this season.

Merda should've had him.

The yawn is due to how old its gotten people flaunt their dislike for him anytime his name is mentionned (like in this case a viable lineup for Juve), not the fact that they dislike him or what the reasons are , I know them all too well, in all of its varying degrees. Just gets tedious to keep reading about it(wether is stated in reasonable manner like yours or is a "fuck Gio").Dislike him, fine, should still be able to discuss footie topic when its related to him without foaming at the mouth, or making it badge of honour to profess what everyone already knows (and be biased/illogical for ze heck of it, "impossible to bench Pepe, will only get as much minutes at Elia" etc). It has gotten less now that he is Juve player, but its still yawn inducing to keep hearing it (I repeat, not the part of peeps disliking him, just the need to bring it up frequently).

Please. Do explain why you don't rate Giovinco? It's childish to hold on player in favor of another just because one of them doesn't fit in to your "idea of Juventus". Giovinco is part of Juventus now. GET IT. He's been part of Juventus since his primavera performances led him to the first team at 20 years of age in 2007!!!!

So get real. Juventus has changed. Giovinco has changed. Our team was utter crap when he was introduced (apparently part of the reason for fielding a 20 year old?). Now Juventus has changed. The team is solid. The core built around a world class playmaker, Andrea Pirlo, and taking home what's completely Juventus DNA is a fantastic thing. De Ceglie, Marchisio, Giovinco - three Juventus DNA players in our first team squad and you're complaining just because you believe in the BS you read in the media or because you dislike him for being small, bald etc etc??? Or what else is this hate all about?

You are not a Juventus fan if you don't support Juventus DNA. Conte brings Juventus DNA but so does Giovinco and he did have a better season the Vucinic. Statistics is proof. Valuation is opinion!

Vucinic is a top class player. I love him. Everybody does. But Vucinic is lazy. He's got very little workrate and he solely rely on his incredible talent, that, when he wants to can be near to world class - based on the magnificent goals we've seen him score for us!! Last one against Atalanta none the least...

But Giovinco is the future. He is Juventus. Get real and accept his presence. And once he proves it to Conte - accept his superiority to Vucinic!

Gio already did have a better season than Vucinic and he will have many more. You must have a poor memory because for most part of the season Vucinic was terrible but thankfully yes Vuci did show moments of brilliance when we needed it and at a crucial part of the season but to say he was 2nd to Pirlo is such a stupid thing to say.

Vucinic is not lazy, he tracks the ball when we are out of possession and build the play for us the entire season (up front, while we have Pirlo as deep playmaker).

I just can hope that you are right about Giovinco, it can only bring good things to Juve, although it sounds too good to be true.

The balding midget had a better season then MIRKO?! :howler:
The stats only tell half the tale my friend. Mirko was an IMPORTANT part of a historic Juventus side, where was Gio? Kthxbai.
