Many names for the Juventus defence, there is also Papastathopoulos
Juventus is continuing to hunt for two defenders - one centre back and one left back.
Back towards Acerbi which infuriates Milan. According to reports from yesterday afternoon, Marotta spoke with Chievo over his transfer. Milan has had an agreement with Genoa president Preziosi for some time, if Genoa buy the other half of his contract, then he will be loaned to Milan. Chievo have set a 4 million euro price tag on his head, and aren't willing to go any lower. Juve have offered Chievo 9 million euro for his full contract. Today there was a meeting between Chievo and Genoa who want to avoid going to a blind envelope auction.
Still in the picture is Ranocchia, who Conte has apparently sent an sms message to. Juve have apparently offered Inter 12 million euro to bring him to Turin. Inter however are not interested due to the tension between the clubs regarding Giovinco. Ranocchia's price tag for all other clubs (PSG and Man City) is 18 million euro, but for Juve he is not for sale.
In the last few hours, the hypothesis for Sokratis Papastathopoulos, ex Genoa and Milan player who is currently at the Euro's with Greece. At the end of the game against Russia, Papastathopoulos revealed to the press, "I am talking to Juventus." Tuttosport have confirmed this rumour and Werder Bremen are asking for 7-8 million euro for his transfer.
The transfer rumour of Bruno Alves from Zenit has still not gone away. Already tracked last August, the player who was very close to being exchanged for Bonucci, apparently wants out of Zenit. Marotta has pounced and will make an approach for a loan with option to buy.
